Flávia's ready to pop the champagne 🍾 Flávia Saraiva won bronze on beam in Rotterdam, her first World medal on the event, and came to the mixed zone ready to celebrate. #gymnastics #Worlds2026 #TeamBrazil

“You have to understand the lineup the Russian women’s team sent to the World Championships. It was difficult to expect anything extraordinary from them. But Lyudmila Roshchina accomplished something remarkable. Her silver medal is worth its weight in gold.“

On her eponymous skill: “I also had to practice it in secret so that nobody else would know I was working on it. It’s cool to already have a skill named after me!”

“I have fewer acrobatic elements than the others,” she acknowledged, already preparing to increase the difficulty of her routine. “After my two-and-a-half twist, I’d like to add a front layout. I’d also like to upgrade my double wolf turn to a triple.”

With her World Championships bronze medal, Maïana Prat has joined a very exclusive club: before her, only six French women had won individual medals at the World Championships. On floor exercise, she follows in the footsteps of Ludivine Furnon (1995) and Cassy Vericel (2007). It has been an eternity

“I’m not an especially emotional person,” her coach cautioned. “This medal is rewarding for the whole team. The coaches, the judges, everyone... You never achieve a result like this alone. Even though Maïana is the one who won the medal. It’s her journey, her work.”

Rodionenko: "The guys did what they could. But I know what they're capable of, and they could have done more. Dukhno was simply exhausted—he had too much of a workload. At 18 years old, it's difficult to compete on all six apparatus three days in a row.” tass.ru/sport/28251939

"Knowing these guys' routines and how they had prepared, we were hoping for additional medals. But finishing second in the team competition is already a tremendous achievement. That team silver medal is worth a great deal.

“We were also expecting a medal from Zaika on rings, but it didn't work out. There's still work to be done.”

Okamura Mana: ““I was aiming for the gold medal, so it’s frustrating that I couldn’t perform to the best of my ability. I could tell I was nervous when I wobbled at the beginning, but I lacked the ability to control my body. www.sanspo.com/article/2026...

“I still need to refine the details. I want to make the most of this experience and use what I’ve learned as I prepare for the Los Angeles Olympics.”

“Chia-hung is already extremely familiar with this routine, so he kept practicing it after qualifications. Although his performance on the high bar was nearly perfect, he released the bar too early during his dismount, causing his trajectory to carry him forward.”

Huang emphasized, “As long as Chia-hung completes his routine, basically no one can surpass him in difficulty. So I told him to stay calm, approach the competition as usual, and not put too much pressure on himself.”

“Although we were nervous and under pressure, we continued training as usual after qualifications and didn’t make any special adjustments,” Huang said. Huang revealed that Tang performed the same routine in today's final as he had in the final at the Nagoya Asian Games.

“This medal represents a 16-year-old girl competing in her first Olympic final. I’m very proud to have trained for another ten years and finally won my first World Championships medal on balance beam. I feel incredibly happy.

“A lot of hard work went into this, and we carefully planned our strategies to pack as much difficulty as possible into the routine. Everyone is fighting for every tenth of a point. I wanted to make the most of this opportunity and do my best. I came here to compete and to be among the best.”

“Absolutely insane. You know there’s a chance, but you also know who else is competing in that final. And it’s just… I have no words. So fucking cool. Yeah, this is the greatest thing that has ever happened in Norwegian gymnastics,” said coach Espen Jansen.

"I think I had a mind of steel." 💪 Kaylia Nemour leaves Rotterdam with two World titles: uneven bars and balance beam. 🎧 GymCastic.com #gymnastics #Worlds2026 #TeamAlgeria

Kevric: “It’s just absolutely incredible. I still can’t quite believe it. Somehow, everything happened so quickly. It shows me that I took the right path after my injury, that I pushed myself hard—and now here I am, the world silver medalist.“ www.welt.de/sport/articl...

“I really enjoyed the moment,” Colas says. “It’s true that the wait was long because I was the last gymnast to compete in the final. Especially since I could see that the other gymnasts were receiving fairly high scores. That put a little pressure on me. But overall, my routine went well.

“I improved a few small things compared with qualification. Unfortunately, my dismount wasn’t as good. That’s what cost me the medal.”
