This song has been stuck in my head for days - it's not even my favorite Muse song, but the drop riff going to the "chorus" is epic.

Wondering if the rescheduling of cannabis will make it possible for companies to have access to the banking system in ways that will make it harder to slow the roll towards full nationwide legalization.
"There could be more state-level progress in the year ahead. Here’s where the cannabis map could expand in 2026.

every single tech idea is like “soon our robots will be capable of playing catch with your kid, freeing you up to spend more time working on your employers’ spreadsheets”
“We assume that car use is an incompressible liquid that must be routed somewhere. But it’s more more like a gas that fills whatever space it is given.”

if i've learned one thing from doing union stuff while also doing other forms of organizing, it's that you're better off with people you disagree with who are nevertheless trying to do the same thing as you than with people you agree with who aren't trying to do anything
If you’re not actively choosing an ideology based on careful investigation then I guarantee one is already winding its way through your soul right now and making you its puppet.

Grew up believing the "All the News that's Fit to Print" line that I pretty much took for granted until around the time of the Iraq war. Luckily, I was in the cadre of folks that got radicalized to the left after discovering my error, avoiding the liberal-to-reactionary pipeline (8-lane highway?).
The NYT is not being “gamed” by the far-right. They are not “failing” to portray things accurately. They are not “making mistakes.” They are a propaganda arm of capitalism— a large private corporation with values the same as the far-right.
They are antagonists, not tragic antiheroes.
I've been in the woods for a couple of weeks, without access to my Bsky password info, so it's been a second since I was able to log on and see my feed.
Feeling cute, maybe post some cats pics later...
Reskeet this if you want @blumenthal.senate.gov to stop introducing crappy censorship bills that make kids less safe while praising Elon Musk as a "free speech champion"
(we are driving this billboard around Hartford, CT right now)
Avoid the violence/nonviolence debate. It’s a trap.
The only thing that matters is what actions lead to more justice and less harm.
Inaction and complicity in the face of brutal oppression is the worst form of violence. Never forget it.
