Behind every unsafe workplace is a worker with a story. Dark Work shares real testimonies of struggle, survival, and the fight for dignity on the job. Brought to you by Mississippi Workers’ Center for Human Rights, a Groundwork Project partner. Listen at the link in our bio.

6 votes. That's all it took. The Supreme Court gutted the VRA in Louisiana v. Callais, stripping Black voters of districts they fought decades to win. But the deeper story isn't what the Court did. It's what we failed to build. Op-ed by  @joekennedyiii.bsky.social

shorturl.atTo protect voting rights after Callais, we need to invest in red statesThe deeper lesson of Callais is not just that we must fight back. It's that the people who actually live in these states have been fighting all along and all alone.

Brockton Workers Alliance hears these stories every week: workers terrorized, exploited, and threatened with ICE calls. Construction workers stopped on their way to work. Parents too afraid to pick up their kids from school. No one should live in fear like this.

Happy Trans Flag Day! Today we honor the Transgender Pride Flag designed by Monica Helms. Light blue for boys, pink for girls, white for those who are transitioning, non-binary, or don't define themselves within the binary. Every stripe tells a story of courage and authenticity. 🏳️‍⚧️

no time for slowing down. Oklahomans deserve better so we have a responsibility to work harder, be more creative, develop stronger partnerships, be in the community everyday, focus on working class issues, raise more money, run more candidates, show up, etc etc etc. Video from Sarah Gray

Eric Garner should still be alive today. No hashtag, no slogan, no plea for justice will ever be enough to undo what was taken. But we say his name anyway. The systems that killed him are still working as designed. And so are we. video from @NMAAHC

I can't imagine being a parent of a queer kid right now, so we wanna make sure they're getting support as well. And we're gonna start a support group for trans adults, and have one specifically for legislative session every year for folks to talk through what it's like to see the policies happening.

No matter if they try to take our rights to public hearings, or rights to be in public spaces, or discussed in public schools, there's not any getting rid of us, and we're gonna continue to be loud and foster those spaces where we do it together.

Every student — no matter their zip code, income, or faith background — deserves access to a fully and fairly funded public education. That’s why we support the grassroots leaders and local coalitions like OKPLAC, who are fighting this battle where it matters most.
