Part 1: A short statement regarding the Bat Dragon Adopt Me discussion, because this situation is turning into harassment. I have split up the statements into parts so that it can fit in this one thread.

Part 13 ( END): We all want the same thing: a creative community that acts ethically, respects everyone involved, and continues to improve going forward. Hope this helps clear up some misconceptions and ease the fear that their pet will be taken away.

Part 12: At least people now know where the design may have come from, and that awareness alone matters.

Part 11: We don’t expect a reply, and if we don’t get one, it is what it is. We just hope the potential origins of the Bat Dragon can be shared without hate towards the current team. Sky and I are at peace with whatever happens going forward.

Part 10: Thank you to everyone who has supported us and cared enough to speak up. Please don't harass, artists, players, developers, or anyone involved. Its all up to the current dev team what they want to do going forward as this is our final say on the situation.

Part 9: We'd much rather see artists and studios work together through inspiration, permission, and commissions than have situations like this happen at all, where its boiled down to "No one can own this or that", which only causes harm to everyone involved.

Part 8: Going forward, we hope this discussion encourages game companies to be more mindful about where inspiration comes from and to give credit where it's due.

part 7: Even so, I don't think the current team should be punished for something an old team member may or may not have done, and crediting / acknowledging a potential inspiration source just shows they care about the artist community.

Part 6: I do not expect the new dev team to know this information, and because they are a big company, making any kind of statement about it might actually hurt them more than simply ignoring it.

Part 5: Whether people believe the Bat Dragon was inspired by my design from 2014 or not, is up to them. We, along with many others, believe the similarities are significant and unlikely to be entirely coincidental, but only the original Bat Dragon designer/model maker truly knows what happened.

Part 4: We did not start this controversy or create the original comparison posts that went viral. We only responded to questions when people asked us directly. Blaming us for starting this is not accurate, and it contributes to unnecessary harassment.

Part 3: In a perfect world the design on the original model being tweaked would be a respectful way to continue, but we don't expect that, and my free design was for the dev team to decide if they felt it was something they had to do. Since its not the first time they have done redesigns.

Part 2: Me and Sky have talked about this situation in private, and we were never pursuing any legal action. We don't believe there is a realistic legal case here, and we do not want players punished or the Bat Dragon model removed or changed.

Rediscovered the pen tool in Adobe Animate, making gradient shading like I used to do mega easy sdgsdgs I thought it was gone, it was just hidden xD hahaha. Favorite thing I loved doing was scribble all over the drawing to remove the guide lines. eeeeeee Nostalgia
