The world is not just. We know this, of course. But just another point is: Some convocation of top brass in US armed services NOT saying: “Sir, this is not a Wendy’s” whenever SecDef Kegsbreath starts ranting at them. Oh, hey, chain of command makes things unjust. Is this a first?!?

Took a flight that was of the “entertainment available on your own device” type. Fine Land. Sleep a night. Wake up and start listening to a podcast and the volume shredded my eyeballs (shrapnel from my eardrums) I guess airplanes are loud or something and I had turned up the volume on my device?

Stipulated: this is not how slang is created. A ton of crap is a crapton More crap is a metric crapton Even more crap is an Eric crapton Even more than that is an Elric Crapton

New game: every time SCOTUS does anything, mentally append, “however we would like to remind the American Legislature that wielding executive power to violate laws is generally recognized as a cause for impeachment.” And see if that makes the opinion sound better. If it does, SCOTUS F*ed up again.

Let’s pretend there’s some legible reason they won’t print my baggage tag more than 4 hours before departure time (it’s 4 hours and 5 minutes before…) But the machine does not need to say “Wow, you’re so early!” Please shut up. You’re a machine. You’re not impressed and neither am I.

Gonna be blunt for a second… Yum! Brands are not exactly on my top 10 trusted and loved companies list. But if it’s a he said/he said ofYum! Vs Trump’s FDA… I kinda think maybe Yum! Knows their shit (har har) better. (I don’t know if Yum! stands by their deduction that it was Taylor, thus “IF”)

Of course I thought the DoD HRT thing was some ai generated slop because… I mean… it’s stupid? And stuff. Then o remembered that the government is not only stupid, they are more Alex Jones and less Rush Limbaugh. So, of course they already have business contacts with the T Test scamdustry. *sigh*

Summer has officially begun when I remember which spaces in my normal life are over-conditioned and require a sweater or sth even though it’s sweating weather.

Sometimes I like to pretend I’m in act 2 of an Aaron Sorkin political drama and imagine how act 3 will go. Join me, won’t you? Each of the 9 scotus justices are called before congress. They are asked to establish their function and how they do it. (Interpret law using logic and argumentation)

Then they are challenged to argue the rationales and logical consistency of their writings. Any who fail to convince congress that they (scotus justice) have been writing logically good faith and rational interpretations of law are impeached for dereliction of duty. 3 remain. Fin.

For decades I thought that Dummy (Portishead) was the incarnated artistic epitome of this feeling. But… Happier Than Ever (Billie Eilish) is getting there for me. Naturally it is a years long process, and I don’t know if or when it’ll overtake but… damn.

Somehow I had not imagined the American political spectrum (much less SCOTUS) included monarchists. Were they just pretending to be the well known Right Mammonites? Or is this a new movement? I’m pretty sure the _Left_ was minuscule 20 years ago. So it could be thermostatic or sth?

What a ripoff. Pancreatic juice? THAT’s the name? That’s the NAME?! Don’t ask me why I was looking that up either. You don’t want to know, AND I don’t want to tell you.

Sure it’s already been 3ish months. But you know… whatever it takes to get through the week? Bruno Mars’s The Romantic is like… nearly the only thing that I enjoy about the world right now. But also, if/when time to punch god in the dick, NiN and RAtM have a whole-assed back catalog.

Momentary complaint about well intentioned unacceptable UI. Ask a question you think the answer to will usually be no. Put “no” above “yes” in a bigger button. 🤮😵‍💫

Why I like Demon Slayer’s “every villain has a story” scenes more than DandaDan’s. Demon Slayers’ villains die there. DandaDan (book 18 now) now has tooooo many semi redeemed and doesn’t give enough time to any of them to remind me about the “semi”ness. aNOTHer antagonist is redeemed but sassy? 😮‍💨

Feeling spicy, and also nobody reads me anyway: Straight line- USA moves its embassy to Jerusalem. Israel does some ethnic cleansing in occupied territories.

Stipulated: 1. Stevie wonder was awesome. 2. “I just called” has a little hokie Therefore: it’s palatable primarily because of musical genius Using my galaxy brain I can predict covers of “I just called” are risky and probably not going to turn out well. No idea who did the cover I just heard 💁🏼

Doubt anybody who normally sees my posts has any idea what I’m talking about but… really, even in hindsight, #ee-jump was a weird idea that almost seemed like it might have worked but ended just as weirdly as it deserved from its weirdness in inception.

Nothing says “parents’ day” quite like waking up at 3:30 and being unable to go back to sleep until adding a section to your presentation…

Stipulated: sakura are awesome. Flying into Japan while the trees are around 80% bloom was a real treat. However: azalea is actually where it’s at.

Be me: Go to the most local kebab place you’ve got. Be in a mood. Order the very hot, instead of just the hot Be disappointed that it was the same hot sauce you’re used to Get re-appointed when he took out the shaker of chili powder and dusted that sucker like cocoa powder on tiramisu. Approve.

When I was younger and lightly involved in tech, it was a truism that software engineers liked coding and disliked documenting their code. So we have made a world in which engineers write documents and don’t write code. *headscratch*

Not the biggest thing, but I hate how Customs and border documents refer to entering a country as “embarkation” even though that word sounds to me like the action of entering a vehicle to leave the country (like getting on an ocean liner).

I don’t often buy expensive brand stuff. But I did recently. And I was surprised to find myself REALLY HOPING somebody would notice. Somebody did. It felt good. I don’t want to do it again though.

TBH the male loneliness epidemic exists because people think the male loneliness epidemic is related to whether and how men can maintain romantic relationships with women. The important idea that men would be happier if they had friends is bouncing off of the culture that created the epidemic.

Heteronormative shorthands, but: (?)Sorry(?) women, you are not the solution to the male loneliness epidemic. (!)sorry(!) men, women are not the cause of the male loneliness epidemic.

The internet is saying that male loneliness is caused by not being able to get or maintain a romantic relationship. Really, male loneliness is (partly) *caused* by *believing* the solution to loneliness is getting or maintaining a romantic relationship.

“hurk women’s genitalia are actually in men’s pants hurk hurk” should not lead to “you are the cause of the male loneliness epidemic” It exactly reinforces the cause of the epidemic by suggesting that the only solution to male loneliness is female companionship.

What a day. Start with “ugh America” Next is graduation - usually means I’m gonna get way melancholy because I have more feelings about the graduating students than they have for me, (and other reasons) Then drinking with coworkers. Then, on the way home California Love on shuffle.

Not riffing on the bizkit but… it was just one of those days. Walked from work to the not closest station… and felt like that wasn’t enough walk, and then walked one more station. And now I’ve overeaten. And I don’t particularly want any more new tasks until April 2nd please and thank you.

Gym adds flat topped kettles to the stretch/open zone. “Hey, I’ll try weighted renegade rows” Oh. Umm… I’ll try 2 sets of 4. Ow? Maybe on a more properly empty stomach?

Long ago (let’s say, about 25 years, but that’s not precise) I worked very late nights at a small company. I listened to a kind of… I dunno, internet radio program that was stuffed into a chat room (or vice versa). I don’t remember what we called that tech. Maybe through Winamp? Don’t remember.

And without fail it makes my pulse speed up. And I think it’s ill-tempered music made by somebody trying to confuse and anger his listeners. And I don’t know if I’m confused, angry, or just happy to hear it. But I do wonder how it sounds to people who didn’t spend that decade in those clubs.

Anyway, maybe once a week, I’d listen to a show that did a lot of dance noise. And I would always get hyped when he played the electronic noise act Kate Mosh (Mathis Mootz side project in his Panacea era? I guess?) And it’s still in my collection, right? Shuffle drags it up sometimes.

Got out of work at a decent hour today, thought I’d get some fun, novel-reading done. But first the news and the newsfeed… OK, never mind fun. Instead, how about just eating my phone whole and trying not to die from the broken glass or chemical. Huh, surprisingly chewy.
