Last I'll post about this, but Elon Musk disagrees with me. This means I am onto something, and I feel more valid in my opinion than ever.

Don't let billionaires convince you slop is the future. They're used to managing & directing, not making things themselves. Of course they can't see the difference. They don't understand your love for the craft. Keep making personal, beautiful games. You've got my support πŸ’–

just bought Ghost Trick to play on stream someday cuz of the amount of glazing i see for it online. if the game isn't a 10/10 i WILL be making fun of people who say otherwise

wouldnt it be really fucked up if super mario was bulgarian instead of italian?

hey, so remember on stream how i announced that i was working on a website? yeah, there hasn't been much progress on that lol although recently i've been inspired to pick up that project again and finish it for good, because it's a pretty simple one to do and because i wanna yap.

i found a really promising one by chance, and functionally it has just about everything i need, nothing excessive. it's also very simple visually, which is honestly how i like it: simple and functional. it even lets me have a custom domain, so i can actually use mine for something other than my @.

-gonna develop further, but progress hasn't moved much not long after making it. the things that stopped me were figuring out how to best implement a blog with a comment section, and figuring out what kind of aesthetic to go with that would fit my personality.

here's where i wanna shout out Applchu's LBM (github.com/applesaucyy/...) which pretty much solves the blog problem pretty well, and i recommend checking it out if you're interested. however, due to the limitations of the free plan for Neocities, i decided to look elsewhere.

the website is just: home page with links to all my socials and a blog to rant on and announce when i'll be streaming (and maybe a contact page??? it'll just have an email address, so it'll likely be moved to the home page as a footnote) i currently (as of writing) have a Neocities page that i was-

Going back to this after my Waterfox thread, I want to truly apologize to the people close to me who trusted me to make a silly little Discord bot. I still want to take full responsibility for using an LLM for parts of it, and promise that the next update and Bluesky bot will not be touched by one.

This post was a disappointing read. I get that AI has a very negative connotation online, thanks to OpenAI, Nvidia and the like using it liberally for their marketing, but using that as an argument to make people out as anti-technology is really not the best play. Should've kept this in the drafts.

All of this is even without mentioning the environmental concern around the data centers that power these LLMs, consumer electronics ballooning in price due to manufacturers prioritizing their output for the companies behind said data centers, and how LLMs are making people exponentially dumber.

I still think that Waterfox is a good browser, but don't be surprised when people (myself included) will consider switching to a different browser after this. Also, side note: when people talk about "AI commits", they mean the commits to the source code that were generated by LLMs. Hope this helps.

-trusting LLMs very difficult. While I will agree that, conceptually, LLMs can be useful tools for certain use cases, the way they are presented and made just ultimately doesn't allow for that to be the reality, unfortunately. I'm glad that you still stand behind your stance to not include them in-

-Waterfox and even acknowledge the concerns around generative AI, but your blog post was, quite frankly, really fucking bad. I also do agree that discourse around AI can be a bit more civil, but the vitriol surrounding it is also completely justified, in my opinion.

-the rock solid argument you think it is. People in the comments of the quoted post already have made their arguments regarding accessibility, so I'll let them speak for themselves, but the security aspect can only work if people trust the dev(s) with their project, which isn't always guaranteed.

People hate "AI" because it's largely associated with these LLMs that allow for low quality solutions to problems at best, and straight up illegal imagery at worst (Grok). Not to mention the fact that LLMs are invading every industry whether people like it or not, and the whole circular investment-

-surrounding the companies behind them and that whole rabbit hole. It's disingenuous to equate that with all the other technologies that fall under the AI category for the sake of your argument. Context is very important. LLMs being useful for accessibility and security MAY be true, but still not-

terrible prices aside, i still wanna go through with a storage upgrade soon, cuz i wanna get away from Windows asap and would love to have more room to work with for games, stream recordings and other stuff.

here's what i have in mind: - 1TB NVMe SSD for the OS - 4TB SATA SSD for my games (and anything else that needs fast reads/writes) - 4TB HDD for project files, images, audio, video, etc.
