damn bsky totally crushed the video to death lmao here's a lossless version!! codex.greatsword.xyz/halls/jabber... and a couple other versions codex.greatsword.xyz/halls/jabber... have fun!

Greatsword@greatsword.xyz

i really like those stylish video game console GUIs, so I made a lil mockup animation of a hypothetical Jabber network browser! the music is from the PS2 ISP setup screen! the information shown is actually fairly realistic, I got them from querying my clients and fren's servers in XMPP!

this is definitely the most technical piece I've done, it required fairly good knowledge of GIMP, Blockbench, ffmpeg, and Kdenlive!! all excellent pieces of software :>

NOT ART RELATED FEEL FREE TO IGNORE i got my google account for my YT flagged for "botted activity" for the fourth time lmao guess i'm not gonna have a YT anymore because i already appealed three times, got my account back, and then the same thing happens in a couple weeks. not gonna bother anymore

also before anyone asks, yes i did try using the account without a VPN, still got banned lol these companies really do hate you (yes, YOU, dear reader, they hate YOU personally)

but yeah thanks for reading my mini-rant i don't really like bitching too much about stuff so this'll probably be the first and last time i'll make such posts! it'll post moar art and animations soon enough!! :> maybe google just REALLY hates doting warrior women smh, uncultured swine

haven't done anything nasty or bad with the google account, i would just post my animations once and a while and interact with comments, so 🤷 dunno how that constitutes botting perhaps i should've used google chat or whatever instead of xmpp so that i could prove to gemini that i'm real!!! shucks!!

i'm de-googled enough as it is, and if google wants to help me do that, by all means, they're welcome to :D let it be yet another example with these companies that even if you do nothing wrong, if you don't use their services the exact way they want, they'll ban you! don't depend on google!

anyways, its not a huge loss for me, since the YT channel wasn't that big and i post here and to my website more often anyway, but its kinda crazy that the *whole google account* gets banned! would be terrible if you depended on google for work or school or your livelihood! its why i selfhost tbh.

animation is just a hobby for me, so its not a huge loss to lose access to a big platform like YT. I'm fine being underground :D

they won't tell me why or how ofc, but I'm *assuming* that its because I use the account from a VPN on a GNU/Linux machine. i don't give them enough data (i don't use google services and i only used the account for the odd YT post ofc) so i guess it makes them very assmad!!!!
