For obvious reasons, I haven't talked much about it on here, but my father died suddenly while cycling. Grateful to @sltrib.com for letting me eulogize him and write about the absolute moral necessity of making roads safer for pedestrians and bikers.

With fall comes an update for the state of the current issue, what's in store, and of course a roundup of what's keeping @gracemachine.bsky.social and @phoenixwritesdown.bsky.social inspired behind the scenes.

Frankly pleased to be among these writers and happy, despite it all, that Bulletpoints is still out here fragging.
Bullet Points Monthly started 10 years ago. To mark a decade of the site, our editors--Yussef Cole, Reid McCarter, Astrid Anne Rose, and Ed Smith--looked at the state of the shooter. We also got nine contributors to do the same. bulletpointsmonthly.com/2026/08/19/s...
Also also @tier-review.com would not exist without Bulletpoints. We lifted the whole format from them. Our output is not nearly as consistent and we are doing something even less popular, but we owe a lot to them.

Steven picked out a bunch of Classic Articles from the archive that are well worth a look imo
A very happy celebration of 10 years of Bullet Points! I came in somewhere near the beginning. I'm a card carrying member since at least June 2018 according to Patreon. I'm fairly certain my introduction was someone I respected sharing an article and I quickly becoming hooked.

It's also been to examine games in ways that they perhaps would not be examined otherwise. If you think either of those are worthwhile, you can subscribe, and maybe help us keep going for another ten years, here: www.patreon.com/c/bulletpoin...
Ten years of Bullet Points. Not to get grandiose. But the goal has always been to give writers a platform - and a fair fee - to say what they want precisely how they want to say it...
amr is the best possible person you could have writing on this I think.
ok, throwing this out there, but if anyone needs a freelancer to review Marvel Tokon I'd love to give it a shot I've wrote a couple of different essays on fighting games, and also ran a podcast about fighting games and what we love about them: www.abnormalmapping.com/handtohand

Wrote about the tactics game PRELUDE DARK PAIN. Which I though was mostly really neat...

Interviewed a few people about rising costs associated with games and how they are making the hobby work for them when it is pushing them out.

We want to keep paying freelancers like @djbyrnes1.bsky.social to cover resistance to ICE on the ground. But $ is tight right now, and we remain committed to staying 100% reader-funded. A few bucks a month helps us out a lot! Please consider signing up to support with a regular donation today:
Happening now in Chicago: community members and activists are in the La Villita/Little Village neighborhood to demonstrate against continued ICE violence in across the country. In just the last two weeks, ICE agents have killed 2 men. A 3rd died running from agents, and a 4th died in ICE custody.
