Big update to Good Tag, my little app for tagging MP3s. It now supports *encoding* audio files. Drop in pretty much any other kind of audio file and Good Tag will encode it as an MP3. How about that!

This is tough to watch. MacStories was one of the greats. While everyone has their price, it's good to remember the cost to your reputation, heart, & soul when you cross the line for a fistful of cash. I'm impressed by the people who have left MacStories because they're not willing to pay it. hachy

Just got back from a cruise with the extended family where we visited Alaska & BC. Incredible views from the water. Good reminder of some of the untouched parts of this world.

It’s been a couple weeks working on Kandili, with several updates and plenty more testflight builds. My findings: 1) The App Store is 100% as inscrutable as it’s reputation. 2) Building apps is very fun. I get it now. 3) I’d forgotten how fun it is to have a little fun side project all my own.

For the past few weeks, I've been making an iOS app called Kandili. It's an app that brings to life the Orthodox liturgical calendar, readings, and feast days; with custom typography and handcrafted design. It's pretty niche, but I had a lot of fun making it and I'm excited to share it with y'all.

Now in week two of waiting for iOS app review. I've been told it always takes longer the first time, but dang this is painful.

I just heard about another company using take-home design assignments as a part of the interview process. This spec work is unethical and a terrible way to evaluate candidates. Immediate red flag. Get your free ideas somewhere else, bozos.

Monday was my last day at Chewy. Taking a couple weeks before starting the *next thing*. My list of things to do in the in-between times is long, so not too worried about getting stir crazy.
