Well, I successfully managed to avoid covid all this time until today. Six years was a pretty good run, I guess. So far it’s pretty mild, hopefully it stays that way.

Strongly recommend listening to this week's episode of the That Triathlon Life podcast for Paula Findlay's first-person account of how ridiculously hard Kona is at the professional level.

From what I’m hearing, it’s: - Ironman 70.3 Lake George (Lake George, NY) – June 13, 2027 - Ironman Montana (Great Falls, MT) – August 15, 2027 - Ironman 70.3 Utah (Orem, UT) – August 21, 2027 Very, very excited to have a new full in the Mountain West, if that’s accurate.

A few photos from Ironman 70.3 Washington Tri-Cities this weekend. Race report coming later this week, but pretty good race overall for me, although I was a couple of minutes slower than last year. Next up, Oceanside in April. That’s it for this season!

Tadej Pogačar has abandoned the Vuelta a España after a crash on Stage 8. This is the first Grand Tour he’s abandoned. I can’t quite believe my eyes. On such an innocuous, straight bit of road too. Reminiscent for me of when Mark Cavendish crashed out a few years back. Insane how things can change.

I should write a review of Rouvy at some point, but the one thing driving me up a wall right now is that it doesn't switch to free-riding after a workout is over. Want to finish that route? Are you close to leveling up? Want to cool down a little longer? Tough shit, workout's over, you're done.

You also can't start the route where you left off in a future workout, so if you primarily do structured workouts, there are many, many routes you will never complete, unless you do extremely long workouts. It's real dumb.

If you're starting Ted Lasso Season 4, here's the backstory of the Kansas City stadium in the first episode. Forty banks refused to finance it. They didn't believe a women's team could generate enough revenue to pay for it. It's sold out every game. www.wsj.com/sports/socce...
