Job title: Forward Deployed Engineer. Full manual: doesn't exist yet, not even for us. You'd build agentic workflows with a customer and help write the rest of the job as you go.
In most companies, one team gets to a working agent setup before the rest. That's just how it goes with anything new. Fixing the gap after that is less about smarter agents and more about one shared place where what works gets remembered. That shared place is what our Agent Platform actually is.
We're excited about the Giant Swarm Agent Platform, so we did what you do when you're excited about something: showed it to anyone who'd look, starting at a bar the night before ContainerDays.
@puja.dev revisited his 2016 post on Kubernetes Secrets and ConfigMaps. The primitives are unchanged. Everything upstream of them (source of truth, identity, RBAC) isn't. 🐌

Thanks @giantswarm.io for another cozy evening. Great Beer choice as usual 😁
500 of our own agents in production, 2.8x lower cost per run, 318% more PRs a month. We built the platform on ourselves first. Now we're opening it to design partners.
🍝 Knowing 200 people well beats knowing 10,000 in a database. *Every time.* Julia wrote up six lessons from six years of running events at Giant Swarm. The throughline: the event isn't the product. The relationship is. On the blog now.
@vxav.bsky.social and Antonia stitched together a Kubernetes cluster from two different hypervisors. It worked. It was also a terrible idea. 🤠 They're sharing what they learned at @cnsmunich.bsky.social — and how Kamaji let them solve the same problem without the custom glue.
Marshmallow built great pipelines. Got promoted to "platform team for everyone." Now her Jira is on fire. 🐕🔥 The Level 2 → Level 3 gap breaks almost every platform team.
Naval, Warp, and Spotify all discovered the same thing from different angles: the constraint moved from writing code to defining what code to write. Same pattern, three very different contexts. Thoughts from @puja.dev.
Infrastructure decisions made total sense when you made them. (The world just kept moving.) Manuel Gawert on what a VMware exit actually looks like in practice.
Turns out "we'll fix it when we have more time" is not a platform strategy. It's just what the platform assembly tax sounds like from the inside.

Maintainers track on #Kubernetes #AI conformance now transitioned from WG to sub-project of SIG architecture by Janet Kuo, @terrytangyuan.xyz and @mfahlandt.bsky.social
Yup, that's us. @puja.dev wrote about this back in November. www.giantswarm.io/blog/infrast...

From Raspberry Pi at the edge to managing hundreds of clusters with Cluster API. Antonia, @vxav.bsky.social, and @glitchcrab.bsky.social are bringing live demos and real-world lessons to @containerdays.bsky.social London tomorrow!
@containerdays.bsky.social London X Giant Swarm 🎤 Our very own @glitchcrab.bsky.social, @vxav.bsky.social and Antonia will be on stage. Kubernetes at the edge. Cluster API in the wild.
@t33m0w.bsky.social spotted in the wild at CLC. Speaking about digital sovereignty AI, and observability alongside some serious minds from SAP, Vorwerk, and Sovereign Cloud Stack.
8,000 PRs. 1,000 contributors. 10 years. That’s Ingress NGINX, now being officially archived. Marco and @strongjz.bsky.social at KubeCon NA on what comes next, and why knowing when to stop is part of good infra.
AI infra just got a standard. CNCF launched the Kubernetes AI Conformance Program, and @puja.dev was part of the group that helped define it. Giant Swarm is now one of the first certified platforms.

It's a beautiful day here in Bergen for @cloudnativebergen.dev; excited to be speaking later about Cluster API 🥳
We’re speaking at @kcduk.bsky.social next week! Come say hi! Antonia and Xavier are doing a live demo with a Pi and KubeEdge — Kubernetes at the edge, literally. @salisburyheavyindustries.com talking about migrating a few hundred clusters to Cluster API and what we learned the hard way.
@containerdays.bsky.social talks now online... 💬 @salisburyheavyindustries.com on migrating hundreds of clusters with #ClusterAPI. 🛠️ Antonia + @glitchcrab.bsky.social on Kubernetes at the Edge (yes, with a Pi). 📦 Dominik on platform-as-a-product & what makes internal platforms actually work.
🛠️ Antonia + @glitchcrab.bsky.social Kubernetes at the edge, a Raspberry Pi, and the kind of demo you only try if you're brave.
📦 Dominik Internal platforms work better when you treat them like a product — here’s why that matters.

The recordings from @containerdays.bsky.social in Hamburg last month are out! I updated my blog post here with the recording bsky.app/profile/glit... Or you can watch it directly on YouTube youtu.be/sk5GZeE23w4?...
Time for another blog post! Last week I gave my first in-person talk at a conference since 2017 and I've written a little about the experience dickingwithdocker.com/posts/giving...
