Something I never thought about. If we all eventually have self driving cars and they become cheap enough, why go out at all to get something when you can just send your car? This leads to more congestion on the roads and more sprawl

This reminds me of when MTV was still relevant and TRL would list the top records and Garth Brooks’ record Ropin’ the Wind was number one in country for weeks and they would always kind of make the announcement in a “I don’t get it” way.

Just heard of the passing of James Sloyan. He played so many memorable roles in 90s Trek, including Jarok (TNG's The Defector), Dr. Mora Pol (Odo's "dad"), future Alexander Rozhenko, and Jetrel (from Voyager). Such a powerful performer. He will be missed, but he has left a lasting legacy. 🖖

Ruminating before bed: Would Coyote vs. ACME qualify for Best Animated Feature at the Oscars? Because I think it’d have a great shot at winning. Would be doubly humiliating to Zaslav if The Odyssey also won Best Picture since he fumbled the bag on Nolan and lost him to Universal

Had been championing #CoyoteVsAcme since WB tried to bury it. Finally got the chance to put my $$$ where my mouth was and took the kids to see it today. To try to hide the talent in front of and behind the camera was/is a crime against art. Gags are best seen on a big screen. Has a lot of heart.

The movie shows that Zaslav has no eye for entertainment. He can’t even say he has an eye for business considering how devalued the companies he’s run have become. He is good at one thing: Making himself money. 3rd act is both an indictment on big business and government, but also very affecting
