We're back to Mount Sinai! The Trump DOJ reached a settlement with Mount Sinai that will permanently end gender-affirming care for trans youth—& require Mount Sinai to dedicate $2 million to detransition-related care. Join us for monthly pickets. 📍 1190 5th Ave. 🗓️ Thursday, Nov 5th ⏰ 4:30 PM

What’s worse is that their doctors still believe in this healthcare. But hospital administrators chose to abandon trans kids and their families rather than stand up to political attacks. But healthcare is about caring for people—not caving to politicians.

NYU Langone and Mount Sinai recently reached settlements with Trump’s DOJ to end care for trans kids for years to come, pay millions of dollars in penalties, and even establish a fund for “detransition” efforts—using the same coercive logic as conversion therapy.

Three of NYC's largest hospitals have been targeted by a fascist inquisition seeking to eliminate gender affirming care for trans youth. Two have capitulated. Tomorrow, we visit the final hold out. Join us in demanding that they stand strong.

“It’s devastating to watch, one by one, health care institutions that once cared for trans youth turn their backs on them,” said Raquel Willis, the organization's executive director.

Around 200 parents, trans people, advocates, and allies gathered outside NYU Langone to condemn the hospital’s decision to end gender-affirming care for trans youth and pay $8.5 million following its agreement with the Trump administration’s Department of Justice.

Incredibly important message from the heroes protesting NYU Langone's denial of health care to trans youth: "WAKE UP, WAKE UP, THIS IS YOUR FIGHT TOO "WHEN THEY'RE DONE WITH US, THEY'RE COMING FOR YOU"

Grateful to all those who showed up for trans healthcare in NYC; and to the great folks at @genderlib.com who have been organizing important protest actions. Our communities will keep showing up. And we will win. Maybe not today, but we are in this for all of us.

High five to @edidin.bsky.social for bringing one of the most visible signs of the protest!

For New Yorkers today. Is @newyorkstateag.bsky.social going to enforce the law or are laws protecting trans people still functionally from exempted from enforcement?

NEW: As Trump loses ground and lashes out, some remain willing to capitulate when it comes to anti-trans hate. More alarming settlements from medical providers in states that have laws aimed at stopping anti-trans discrimination. On Friday, it was NYU Langone and UPMC. Law Dork:

Do people realize how insane this is? The DOJ can just stop a hospital from providing medical care just through threats? You know what's next after they're done with gender affirming care? "First they came for trans people and we did nothing oops lol"

Hey, cis ppl in the NYC area: NYU Langone just made a devil’s deal with DOJ after patients & families fought AND WON in court. Trans youth are watching their “allies” abandon them. Liking & reposting is nice, but they need you making noise and they need it right the fuck now:
