Some very nice hanafuda card references in today's episode of Ranma 1/2. So much creative design work on the series.

Ranma 1/2 Episode 28 - Ranma is abducted by Sentaro to become his bride, but first Ranma will have to learn the ways of Martial Arts Tea Ceremony and defeat Sentaro's strange fiancée.

Coming this week- Ranma meets Sentaro Daimonji! Sentaro's story was very delayed in the original series (and then once he debuted he returned numerous times in original storylines). The new episodes promise to be faithful to the original with special guest stars!

MAO Chapter 340 - The serpent that appears in the sky is revealed to be an uwabami and the troupe of the Amazing Circus reveal their true identities as Mao aids them in dispatching the huge creature while Nanoka and Hyakka explore the origins of the elixir.

Ranma 1/2 Episode 27 - A day at the beach turns into a nightmare when Happosai discovers a set of three pills that will make anyone fall in love for an instant, a day or their life. Ranma & Akane wind up swallowing the pills and must avoid seeing anyone or risk falling in love.

MAO Ch 339 - Hyakka & Nanoka investigate the circus and find it staffed with ayakashi. When the ringmaster tries to force Nanoka to drink the elixir Hyakka steps in and drinks the tonic for her. Soon something strange emerges from Kuro's mouth after he has been taking the elixir.

Ranma 1/2 Episode 26 - Ryoga masters the powerful Bakusai Tenketsu technique while Genma tries to help Ranma by having him fight off bees. When the duo face off in battle it seems that Ryoga's newfound resilience may be too much for Ranma who has to dig into his bag of tricks.

Happy birthday to our favorite mangaka, Rumiko Takahashi! She's spent the majority of her life publishing manga every single week from Urusei Yatsura to MAO. We wish her continued health and happiness in everything she does. Happy birthday Sensei!

MAO Chapter 338 - When a circus clown turns up dead, Hyakka, Nanoka and Mao go to investigate and find an allegedly 300 year old boy named Kuro Kuzunoha.

The newest episode (25) returns to using impact frames, split second images hidden in the blink of an eye when someone gets punched or hit. These appeared in a flash when Akane hits Ranma for bullying Ryoga over the fountain.

In sad news animator Kenichiro Katsura (桂憲一郎) has passed away. He was key animator on Ranma 1/2 Nettohen episodes 92, 96, 101, 106 and 113 and key animation on movie 2 (Mousse laughing at Toristan after losing his mask shot). He passed on September 30. He was 59.

Ranma 1/2 Episode 25 - Ryoga realizes how powerful Ranma has become and agrees to train under Cologne to bring his own skills up to snuff. She takes him to the forest to learn the deadly Breaking Point technique.

MAO Chapter 337 - Renji and Sasuga battle one of Hakubi's assassination dolls and Mao and Nanoka arrive just in time to tell them that Mei refused to have her Seed of Haku removed.

MAO episode 26 reached chapter 90 of the manga, barely into the 10th volume. Let's do everything we can so Sunrise hears our voices and knows we want more MAO anime! #アニメMAO
