replace “executives” with a word describing a group the @bsky.app team want to “welcome” and that’s a lifetime ban right there
And people wonder why we want these executives dead

of course, because there’s only one perspective and that’s our one right
Soon-Shiong saying "the reader can press a button and get both sides of that exact same story based on that story" is among the scariest and stupidest things I've ever heard. There'd be an alternative version of each story written by AI in Trumpese??? www.cnn.com/2024/12/05/m...

the fact this has 21k likes and hasn’t led to a ban for promoting actual murder shows how fucked up this place really is anyone noticing this shit or you all got your head too far in the echo chamber to realise the insanity?
It really is quite touching. I haven’t seen something bring people together like the UnitedHealth CEO assassination since the release of Pokémon Go.
went down a little rabbit hole yesterday reworking the ai model picker now live on lex.page

have reported so expect @taylorlorenz.bsky.social will be banned soon
biggest feature request for the @bsky.app team is the ability to turn off reposts, some folks love to share everyone else’s stuff which is great but i’m here for their thoughts
the best things start out with inquisitiveness i didn’t even consider doing software engineering as a career when i started building websites, just fell into it after tinkering with yet another side project
This is how Smart Bear started. It was a project to learn .NET (this was 2002) and to play with visualizations of version control history (just because I liked it). Turns out Code Review was the business (required a pivot), but started with a project.
should i build an app that takes your bsky feed and highlights your biases / blind spots, like ground.news does for news?
seems like a fair critique of this place too tbh
I figured out that the thing that has been bumming me out about The Political Situation is how luridly fake and cheap every ostensibly august institution and tradition has revealed itself to be. Whatever they might be or were supposed to be, they all just work however the shitheads in charge want.
