Rather than taking electronics away completely suggest the practice that was used for primary grades at an elementary school I worked in: 30 iPads on a cart w teacher signing them out for use shared by 8 classes.

Did you know that after being elected, newly minted U.S. members of the House don’t get to do much more than follow leadership? Any R who suggested on campaign trail that they had ideas counter to R leadership will find themselves ignored and told to stay in line!

UnionLeader in reference to David Detour’s oped on the RoadlessRule. I’d like to use the recent forest fire in Rumney as an example of why we need roads. This topic needs a panel of experts to explain the justification. UL? SPNHF?

@newhampshirebulletin.com whie many are very enthusiastic about keeping the WMNF roadless, keep in mind the forest fire near Rumney Rocks a short time ago. Had there had been roads through there for timber harvesting, the work putting out the fire would likely much easier & faster.

CspanWJ it puts chills down my spine to think that POTUS might choose the next Supreme Court justice. If the guests right now were to participate in the choice I would be confident they’d choose suggest a qualified BUT if POTUS were to choose I’d be very worried!

Was watching an ad claiming there was something suspicious about Candidate Chris Pappas’ wealth. Guess that person doesn’t know a family can make a lot of money running a restaurant! I wonder if they question Alex Ray too?

I got a kick out of Susan Glasser’s piece in the New Yorker about DT losing support. Really? A man who’s not aware of what’s going on in his own country, practically ignoring Ukraine’s Pres Zelensky but nearly kisses the feet of leader of China? Yikes!

CSPAN2 school choice: to suggest that every parent can be trusted with a scholarship is delusional. There must be some strict oversight in the use of that money. A parent in NH once used the money for ski instruction.

CspanWJ this guest quite smugly speaks that some should lose their healthcare if the can’t get a job. He must have rural areas w zero public transportation! Sure, they can get an occasional ride, but daily?

At the TX convention: Both nights featured thousands of empty seats, including almost all of the upper level, even as Trump insisted the arena was “packed” with thousands more waiting outside.

1. Earlier today, AI researcher Jacob Coxon, who spent the past three years working at OpenAI and Anthropic, publicly resigned from Anthropic, warning that both companies are racing toward superintelligence and “gambling with our lives.”

Isn’t it interesting that when a person is arrested for DUI in NH and later convicted, we never hear if there was a bar that overserved that customer and who was punished in some way?

@bostonglobe.com many of us who have traveled to the southwest are amazed at the kinds of plants that are grown there. Many of them need huge amounts of water as in the article on page A22 w 16000 acres of cotton or, as I’ve seen alphalfa! The article that the water comes from the Colorado river!

NHUnionLeader interesting editorial about the misuse of marijuana w no actual evidence. When the trooper stops a driver does the breathalyzer check for weed or just alcohol? Is there a mention of the use in the report? Otherwise your oped is just guesswork.

So, if I get this right, my state will no longer need our Supervisors of the Checklist because the Postal Service will be taking over for them? Someone could ask if the PS has time to do this when they’re already understaffed?

UNH Andy Smith reports that Karishma Manzur is catch up to Chris Pappas is interesting. I believe she’s a serious candidate but I prefer a candidate who has already public office. I’d like to see Karishma run for state office so we can se how she performs locally before running for natl office.

What’s going on w NH WMUR? Absolutely pathetic coverage. Nothing about the veto overrides? What’s with all that coverage about toll booths? Certainly no shortage of advertising!
