When I tell you it’s a really cool time to be a New Yorker…

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Wow -- one of the climbers atop the Empire State Building appears to have gotten down on one knee and proposed to the other

Great work on the Welker interview. Lots of proactive defensive plays to hold their ground — she played it exactly right going full earnest and producers played it exactly right with the rain as a big part of the final package.

And on this, the first official day of “1st Summer,” I want to congratulate New Yorkers for another successful completion of all 18 yearly seasons. Don’t worry, “Relapse Spring” is just a few days away, and “WTF Winter Again?” soon after that.

My new vocal stim is the AOC quote "my goal is to change this country" but in the same line reading as Barbara's "I'm running things now" from August Osage County

Absolutely speechless. Lightning in a bottle moment.

Acyn@acyn.bsky.social

AOC on possibly running for the Senate or President: They assume my ambition is a title or a seat. My ambition is way bigger than that. My ambition is to change this country. Presidents come and go, elected officials come and go, single payer healthcare is forever.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Faced with declining market share and poptimist contempt, rock music once seemed bound for the dustbin of history. But an industry crisis and a moribund liberal political establishment are driving a rediscovery of rock’s potential.

Honestly though, it would just be day after day of ActBlue breaking records. @democrats.org

Titan of industry. Media magnet. Marvelous manager of people. Cultural phenomenon. Free speech champion. Want to have all eyes on the Dems during the election cycle? Get him in the race. He’d make them all better at it.

COLBERT: How dumb do you think it is for people to say that I should run for president? OBAMA: Well, you know, the bar has changed. I think you would perform significantly better than some folks we've seen. COLBERT: Is that an endorsement? OBAMA: It was not

To the TODAY show producer that had Jenna Bush Hager talk to all four living presidents about some forgotten idea and then brought out Jane Fonda an hour later to talk about collective action… I see you.

Also, it’s pretty clear that voters want new electeds across all leadership positions. So if you’re an elected and not one of the voices pushing this stuff out to make room, then you might find yourself being pushed out as well. @democrats.org Better to stay ahead of this. Especially now.

It’s hard not to look at the lack of a prepared response plan from the Swalwell campaign as anything but an indicator that they really thought they would get away with this. And that probably stems from an ego-sense that Dems are desperate to win that they won’t call out their own. Makes it worse.

The real test of whether or not a new tv show has the juice right now is if we can ignore our dog’s post-dinner zoomies long enough to finish the episode.

lol no please go ahead and get some things off your chest

Vance: Andrew Ferguson will be the vice chair. If you're curious the difference between the vice chair and the chair, the vice chair is going to do all the work and I'm going to take all the credit. Ha ha ha.

The Nagano Olympics hold a SUPER special place in my heart and every time my faithful king Johnny Weir says Ilya is the “only person in the world” that can do that backflip, I’m like waaaaait a minute…

Diana Moskovitz@dianamoskovitz.bsky.social

I'm biased because she's my friend but, if Ilia Malinin's backflip got you remembering Surya Bonaly, my friend Tracie Hunte worked on a wonderful episode of RadioLab about it!

Tony Dokoupil has some sorta humiliation kink. Bari Weiss is in on it. This is the only explanation at this point. Jay Sures at United Talent Agency why are you letting him do this to himself??

They are wearing masks because they are proud boys who were arrested after Jan 6, and they were all already gotten once.

Ron Filipkowski@ronfilipkowski.bsky.social

Masking is not about doxing. That is the excuse. They are wearing masks so people cannot identify agents who engage in abuses, civil rights violations, and crimes. You can’t report someone or hold them accountable in any way if you can’t identify them.
