πŸ’Ή PL GW6 matchups A first look at sharp market projections for this weekend’s PL fixtures: projected goals & CS%, teams to target & WDL odds πŸ‘‡ πŸ“‰ Through GW1-6, markets have projected ~20 fewer PL goals compared to this time last season

How we feeling about Saka as Salah replacement in order to get πŸ‡³πŸ‡΄ πŸ€–? His minutes going to be ok? Worried about reinjury tbh. Plan was Palmer πŸ₯Ά all along but that’s not happening now.

Some evidence to suggest the gap between the premier league and championship is increasing, too

New football season got me thinking about the difference in difficulty between the English Premier League and Championship. I took a look at how teams' ratios of goals scored to goals conceded changed between seasons over the last 10 years:

Ended up with this. Locked in seconds before the deadline.πŸ˜… Notes: ✳️ 0.5 M itb ✳️ Sanchez came in last min as I got cold feet on Kelleher, who was my fave GK all along (Cucu out) ✳️ final decision was Georginio/Mateta vs. Sarr/Evanilson

Lovely to see Fulham FC showing loyalty and sticking with their "Asian betting partner" SBOTOP for another season after they were fined Β£3.5 million in the Isle of Man for ignoring pretty much all money-laundering regulations. SBOTOP are now "licensed" in a Canadian First Nation reservation.

I had Barco, Quansah and Nkunku in my GW1 team last year. πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ combine that with Solanke injury and Hall losing his place shortly thereafter … and it was just a brutal start to the season tbh. Some of the decisions were my fault, others were not. πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ

Only now realizing he is still not 100% from the looks of it and hasn't played in the preseason. 🫠🫀 One to monitor I guess ...

Ryan Christie - overlooked DefCon gemπŸ’Ž ➑️ Moises Caicedo & Elliot Anderson have garnered most of the attention amongst MIDs for their DefCon points, rightfully so as they would have gained an extra 42 & 36 points, respectively, last yr πŸ’ but there's a certain BOU player that is being over-looked imo

At a price of Β£5.0m, Christie offers you an opportunity to save Β£0.5m if you already have Caicedo or Anderson in your team without really giving up too much imho. Current TSB% are 7.5% for Caicedo, 3.4% for Anderson... and 0.6% for Christie. Like I said, a potential gem!πŸ’Ž

And he is a DefCon monster!!! πŸ’ͺ He racked up 13.87 CBIR (top amongst MIDs) and 2.3 tackles per game last season. This translates to 1.11 DC points per game, just behind Anderson (1.18) and Caicedo (1.13).

Tielemans is a really good FPL pick. Does well for CBITRs, safe for minutes (important for defensive contribution points), decent open play threat, and has some pen share. He does a bit of everything, really, and more than justifies his Β£6.0m price tag.

I take a look at the best budget midfielders in FPL, including a 0.7% owned Brighton attacker (who loves to score goals), a penalty taker who does well for defensive contributions, and some newly promoted gems with INCREDIBLE fixtures. READ FOR FREE πŸ”—: fpltips.com/best-budget-... πŸ‘ˆ

BBGW1, FHGW2, WCGW4: Thread Carefully They Say. Dismissed as wasteful, a thrill seeker's game, this strategy is underdiscussed. Times are a-changin', and so is FPL. The new addition of double chips means we have to play BB, FH & TC before the GW19 deadline, and crucially, without targeting doubles.
