The lesson is: OWN the conversation You never engage with the right on their terms. They say stupid shit? You ignore it, don't even give them viewing time, just scroll past. You comment and engage with YOUR side first, you promote the agenda of YOUR side always.

Brazilians recommending not to amplify right-wing talking points by dunking and quoting, as a winning strategy Next day, my tl is full of people dunking on rfk jr I literally would not have seen the bigotry if it wasn't for y'all repeating it. That's exactly what the Brazilians were on about!

Russia became the worlds largest country by only ever defending itself in other people's countries. People who point out that this is a lie, like Prigozhin did. tend to die in "mysterious circumstances". By threatening WW3 Prez is preventing WW3. Appeasing nuclear blackmail is very sensible

The White House is already purging votes. To all the good-willed people who will reply “States perform elections, not the White House” you should remember that laws only work if there is a respectable authority that applies them.

Three days after the August primary, election workers in one Washington county went to check for late mail-in ballots. They expected no more than a few dozen. Instead, there were more than 500 — each a vote that wouldn’t count.

The Right’s Fascistic Fever Dreams Are a Sign of Weakness MAGA wants us to believe that Trump can simply declare “martial law” and wipe away the system - but it’s just not true. A threat assessment before the midterms. Some thoughts from my new piece: 🧵

Every time the russian invaders are in the back foot Putin has Dimitriev call his orange pet in the White House and work out a new way to save his army from adding to the meatcubes.

Dr. Michael MacKay@michaelmackay.bsky.social

Ukrainian defenders have made significant gains on the southern Donetsk battlefront. They have pushed the russian fascist invaders farther south along the road to Velyka Novosilka and farther east to the Mokri Yaly River.

If the US survives the next two years, they will need a deep reconstruction of their political system. And I don’t know if that is possible without first having citizenry capable of doing what is asked of them. Trump and the fascist cabal around him are a symptom of the failed US political system.

That it'll fail because they lack sufficient consolidation and centralized control does not make it trivial that the president of the United States is trying to steal elections and produce an illegitimate sham Congress. It is open rebellion against the Constitution and morally tantamount to treason.
