UnAmerican and NonHuman Forgive me, but…

Someone suggested that you have to believe in human rights in order to be moral, and when I responded with this, they blocked me…
I agree, though you can believe all those things without believing in a rights-based regime… Also, I don’t think one has to fit some sort of socially-constructed “human” category in order not to be killed, maimed, etc… Good to be mindful that other peaceful worldviews exist outside human rights

Not only does California’s law ban octopus farming in the state for food, but unlike Washington’s, it makes selling farmed octopus more difficult as well! Not perfect, but a very good start!! And it looks like New York is on its way to banning octopus farms as well!!! Eight thumbs up 👍🐙
Ironically, a new deal after Trump’s disastrous bloodshed will probably be more equitable and fair Of course, all the actors (Iran, America, the gulf states, etc…) are obstructionists to real peace & liberation
As long as America, as an imperialist and militarized state, has nuclear weapons, it would be foolish & dangerous for other states not to pursue them as well The 2015 nuclear deal was abysmal in its failure to confront the United State’s proclivity for violence, intimidation, and destruction
To put it another (albeit crude) way, the fact that Hitler killed Hitler does not make him a hero And the fact that Obama was not as bad as Trump is not a point of pride… I would much rather celebrate the people who actually sacrificed fighting against the system rather than those on top of it
Of course! But it is good to remember that it was American institutions that created enslaved people, invented the denial of women’s vote, designed the oppression of gay people… Beyond expanding & diversifying institutions of violence, a radical critique of their foundations is also needed…
Trump is the most transparent President ever… the most transparently corrupt
BASH: There are questions about the private funding for Freedom 250. It's not transparent. Should the public show know? BURGUM: Transparency is always a good thing. I work for the president I think i most transparent ever BASH: So you'll make the donors public? BURGUM: It's not about the donors
Not a race when the “participants” are forced to run… Power to the horse called Great White for resisting, though I worry how he’ll be further mistreated in response
📌It's Kentucky Derby Day and worth reminding everybody that thousands of horses die on the track each year. If that ruined your big race, I don't care.

Over 70 million people voted FOR Trump. Trump is American-made. The US is an imperialist nation, built on a military-industrial complex, and a carceral state. No matter who won in 2024, America has a fascism problem I wouldn’t want to live in a house with 1 fascist, much less millions of them…

Right on! Keep up the good pressure!!! Hopefully reparations will also lead to a transformation about how Americans think about animality, nature, and what it means to be human as well All American land is stolen and built on with stolen labor… End the cannibalism!
We need to fix inequality, not allow the MAGA regime and the wealthy, white few to lock them into place. We demand leaders who will reckon with our history and make Wall St pay and return what they stole from Black, brown, and Indigenous New Yorkers. blackstarnews.com/activists-ca...

America certainly has a weird masochist tendency— it takes the most abusive conduct before (mainstream) Americans take notice and begin to challenge their banally violent institutions… It is doubtful that ICE or Epstein would be under such scrutiny if Trump was not elected, which is quite sad
Though it may only be a drop in the bucket A win for thirsty workers is a crucial win These companies only exist as the extractive pus of an exploitative capitalist disease… they and it need to be challenged wherever possible
