If you want to analyse anything from the Balon d'Or, Messi aside only one player from the top 26 plays for a club that isn't Bayern, PSG, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Arsenal & City. 21 of the top 26 play at 4 clubs. Football has been condensed into and talent stockpiled into a handful of megabrands

Much discussion on Fabregas. He is an exceptional coach. IMO he will stay at Como until he thinks either he or the club is no longer developing. I don't think he takes a job like ManU. I think he will either move to Barcelona when they decide Flick is reckless or PSG when Luis Enrique has enough

Trudging to #afcwimbledon in the cold and pouring rain, full of a cold makes me realise I go in these conditions and watch defeats and it is ok because it is ours. Doing this to watch a bunch of recently relegated Chelsea players in the hope they turn a profit for Ryan Bertrand will not be appealing

Conte doesn’t like joining mid season and the United squad is very much not in his mould. He would probably get some improvement out of them but it is also clear he cannot manage with Europe midweek. I would imagine it will implode after 18 months

Above all, there is no meaningful detail from the club about the source and level of the finances of the sole funder of the business. The information provided is superficially impressive but not meaningfully detailed.

As well as the sale, there's the placement of Bertrand in charge of football affairs. What evidence of experience and achievement is there that supports placing so much faith in him?

Also intrigued by the sole funder, Baron of Thorntoun, appearing to have brought himself a lordship.

I couldn't imagine handing over a massive chunk of the club, as well as operational control, to a tech investor with no ties to the club and, as part of it, bringing a hedge fund founder on to the board. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/footba...

For years I felt strength of Italian football was the scouting. Picking up gems. That has waned & replaced by the money ball and money no object clubs like Brighton / Brentford. Recently though its back. Varela at Monza is an outrageously good pick up. Or Mendy costing €15k from Senegalese 2nd tier

Yup. As a fan, how am I meant to build a relationship with a player if everyone of them that shows any kind of decent talent is shipped off for a pay-off every 6 months. Especially if we - as the club - will only see 1/10th of that cash

Saw someone post this. Look there's an enormous financial gulf between the PL and Serie A but the night before Como put 4 past Man U. That is just chalked off as a bad night. Yet Milan reserves had 2 daft penalties and went to 10 men and that proves a gulf. I find this thing so reductive.

Milan suffering a nonsense at Bournemouth. A first handball penalty when nothing would have happened as a result. Now Maignan sent off and giving away a penalty in a way I've never seen before. But all this comes from putting out a stupid unambitious reserve line up. Milan fans should be fuming

Milan playing their second string away to Bournemouth is utterly infuriating..Bournemouth already bookies favourites. If they win comfortably the farmers league narrative will be back without a flicker even though it didnt apply when Utd got murdered in Como
