Six decades later, Star Trek may still be the only franchise based on the ideas that diversity is strength, justice is the measure of civilization, bounty is to be shared, peace is worth the price, and all these things can be achieved. We need more shows that look ahead and find goodness.

If we allow ourselves to fall into fatalism, or wallow in disappointment, or become resigned to what is rather than what should be, we will lose the long game. The greatest enemy of positive social change is cynicism about what can be changed.

I'm at the old house packing for a few hours. Electrical work being done at new house. I wish I could get my heart happy again, but the air is too heavy. The future was so bright and now it feels like mud. I can't be the only one. :'(

Have been keeping busy trying new techniques and building my ephemera stash for journal making. Recently learned about #InkBoxCards through a junk journaling group swap. Loved my results for both the simple neutral/diecut prompt and the spring prompt. Some went into swap ;)

Last of the cards I did for the current #ATC swap. This time with distress ink sprays, watercolor markers, and shimmery watercolor paints. The rubber stamped pumpkin was a block I found at Goodwill for $2 years ago.

Some art time making Halloween themed ATCs for a swap. These came out really cute. I love mixing watercolors, acrylics, and shimmery paints.

Trying my first post here. Have been playing with making some ATCs with a Halloween theme. Stamps with ink and acrylic paint. Added shimmer watercolors and watercolor markers, acrylic for details, and a touch of gel pen. ;)
