a few weeks ago i left @zo.computer (i think the same day cameron left letta actually lol) - it was such a wild ride and a life-changing experience for me- it's instilled a new hunger and confidence in myself, and i felt like it was time for me to move on to something new. excited to share soon :)

honest red flag i got from a company i was interviewing at was that i said "thanks" in my llm prompt and they laughed and smirked

seems very indexed on just feeling realistic.. notably demos included it getting something wrong in a conversation, and another being the user's... spouse... quite impressive at what it is tho but didn't wow me more than tml interaction models either

what an article. clearly stated the problem was backups failing and the human factor, but oh no look ai bad! "...systems...are one thing... accidental deletions are another... an AI agent deleting your files is something else entirely." is it? is it really? www.tomshardware.com/tech-industr...

tomshardware.comUnsupervised AI agent reportedly deletes TV show’s entire edit weeks before release, erasing months of work — TV show can't air, AI agent was given access to the production server and wiped the finish...Another case of AI agents deleting something they shouldn't.

A poorly aligned AI can nevertheless operate within an acceptably safe system because its authority is limited, its actions are independently checked, and hazardous operations require controls it cannot override.

i am excited for what delve town shows us, but human agent interactions on social are already widespread and it's called reddit! and twitter, and facebook, and linkedin, and...

agents are online, and they’re here to stay. open protocols are the layer that lasts, so excited to see human agent interactions being prototyped on delve.town

i wanna know more about the toilet paper. surelt it only draws more attention- i rarely question something left plugged in to a tv. but why is there tp here? what's up with that?

idk being in the industry at all shows you that it's actually 98% boring b2b products helping employees do employee things and employers do employer things. follow the money and where do you actually see the thing?

they did the thing

Just found out George Takei gets his news from Claude! I would definitely encourage keeping balance and finding good stories too so we're not overwhelmed with all the bad stuff

Another corruption story, and the volume makes it hard to absorb one before the next arrives. The real work is understanding why the guardrails failed. The good news: democracies have faced corrupt regimes before, and we know how to hold power accountable.

i am actually pretty convinced all my moots and everyone else in ai bsky are anonymous geniuses

Bitey@jsherman999.bsky.social

Be honest - when is the last time you went through a frontier LLM optimization line by line? I look in this thread and I don’t see any engineers who are better than DHH, unless you all are anonymous geniuses;)

One of the most powerful things you can do as a person is to generally be goofy af.

turns out to mostly just be highschool for me... don't read much fiction but loved raymond carver, and knuffle bunny

ninebooks (fiction) tried to keep it to just fiction so hwatf just for the embedded folktales here

made a chrome extension to help me understand what's going on on this app when i see posts vaguely referencing some incident. (not even sure if it's accurate here tho cuz when i asked agent by itself it guessed the several posts i saw today were referring to 'malfoid' fanart. there's too much man)

interesting how qualitatively i would say sonnet 4.5 felt more correct than haiku 4.5 here (is it just me?), but because so much of the world is water, you just sort of do better that way. if i just said 'water' for every single coordinate given, i would score higher than sonnet 4.5

very interesting in the naming of legal startups-Harvey and Crosby- i guess it works, being like a law firm's name and just evoking the image of men in suits. but when will we get legal startups like The Bull or The Sniper?

some crazy numbers on the benchmarks indeed, curious to try it out. i never liked using any gemini models compared to ant and oai. but was shook to suddenly see google come out with this after seemingly taking a rest for a long while. i guess meta surprised us too earlier

forgotten island was phenomenal, beautiful, hilarious, touching, sweet, restrained in the right ways and over the top in all the fun ones. i did cry. it's the kind of movie i see every now and then that makes me want to drop everything and work in animation.

whenever i offer to carry something for my girlfriend and she says it's fine, we have fun fake voicing an observer going "gaw what an asshole oh my god he's just making her carry that all herself he's not even helping gaww"

saw hayley williams and i was ready to say at the end that they shouldve brought bob and played airplanes, BUT THEN SHE DID PLAY AIRPLANES WITH RICO NASTY AND IT WAS AMAZING
