Something I've noticed about that stupid AI thing that got announced here is that I've seen people say stuff like "Glad I stopped using Bluesky, Twitter is way better than that place." and it's like, buddy, the site you're on has Mecha Hitler AI. The fuck do you mean it's better?

Sorry for all the photos lately, but look at these pretty bluejays in my yard! We didn't used to have any squirrels or birds like this until maybe last year. We've been getting flickers, woodpeckers, and finches in our yard lately

I just got back from seeing Jimmy Carr perform and had a blast. When I got on the train to go home, something a little funny happened. Someone coming from the show stumbled into another group when the train took off and they eventually started talking about AI. Complete strangers.

They were talking about how much they hated it, one guy said he was in IT and absolutely despised it being used everywhere. How he gets vibe coded slop and the people giving to him don't know how the code even works. The other group said people at their workplace are forgetting basic skills.

Just kinda wild to see four strangers just casually bringing up their hatred for AI after both came from the same comedy show. I guess this probably shows despite what you hear online that AI probably isn't as popular as the social media grifters want you to believe
