can anyone tell me why people tend to avoid talking about ut/dr & brandish at the same time? my theories are 1) indie gamers are embarrassed that they like dorky pc games 2) retro gamers are embarrassed that they like whimsical indie games 3) they’re afraid to say how much they like toby fox’s work

my old art mutuals, upon seeing me gamer post over the last couple of years, probably feel the same way nala did after she found simba alive but malnourished from eating bugs for a decade

i mean it sincerely when i say that one of my goals as an artist is to be able to tell other artists, “i already drew [insert potentially embarrassing thing here], so you can draw it, too.”
