Is there anyone out here using Orb Launcher on Android? Would you share how's your experience so far? πŸ‘€

My ADHD talks with normal folk: 1) Taking mental notes to react to certain parts of the convo, because I learned that interrupting is not polite. 2.a) When it's my turn, I forget half of what I wanted to say. 2.b) The conversation shifts topic and my notes became irrelevant. 3) I feel like a 🀑

Me and my ADHD when I go to the shelf to pick up something but then I stay staring at the place completely blank not remembering what I wanted to pick up. And now I'm bugged πŸ˜…

Is it only me or you also go to the shop without any bags to buy only ONE thing just to find yourself balancing 20 items in your hands at the checkout and promising yourself to bring a bag the next time? πŸ€ͺ

I'm a late diagnosed ADHD, and hell, a lot of things make sense now. ADHD was never my main focus. I thought this was what being "normal" meant. Then I realized that one of the apps I built for myself was unconsciously a coping app for ADHD, and now it all makes even more sense 🀯

Do you ever have so many amazing shower thoughs just to have them disappear the moment you close the tap? 😩 This thought also almost got totally vaporized πŸ€ͺ

I'm developing a new feature for my app that lets users retrospectively analyze their past social interactions. They can review what went well or what could be improved for next time. The goal is to foster self-understanding and social growth for the autistic community. #Autism #TechForGood πŸ™Œ

Hey Flutter dev community! Do you face the same issue with Firebase when running on an iOS emulator? % pod install --repo-update fails with the following:

Analyzing dependencies firebase_auth: Using Firebase SDK version '11.2.0' defined in 'firebase_core' [!] Unable to find a specification for firebase_core depended upon by firebase_auth You have either: * mistyped the name or version. * not added the source repo that hosts the Podspec to your Podfile

🧡 A little story about why I started working on a personal project for autistic people 1/ Before getting laid off from my last job, I dove back into coding. Did two projects for myself, just to get my head around it again. But after that? I felt lost about what to do next. #ActuallyAutistic

8/ Meet kinkō (meaning 'balance' in Japanese) 🌟 It's an AI companion that helps you navigate unexpected situations - like missing your train or when plans change suddenly. It provides structured, personalized guidance to help you find your way forward.

9/ Here's my challenge though: I need to validate if this actually makes a difference. There's a huge gap between "good idea in theory" and "actual impact in reality."

6/ Fast forward to now: I'm finally making that idea a reality! Even better, I reconnected with the same person from years ago, and she's now my advisor for this app. She believes it's something the Autistic Community really needs.

7/ So I built an app with one core feature: helping during critical moments of mental overload and meltdowns. It provides immediate guidance during acute situations while promoting independence and self-reliance.

4/ That conversation was mind-blowing. I learned so much about autism, the daily struggles people face, and the challenges they experience just for "not fitting into the norm."

5/ We had this idea involving VR, but we lacked the knowledge to make it happen. I had another idea too - something I believed could really help people - but it was too complex for us at the time.

2/ That's when my gf suggested something important: "Please work on something that benefits society, not just another app or service." Those words triggered a memory from 7 years ago...

3/ Back then, during uni, we were working on a project focused on the autistic community. We interviewed this amazing lady - she was autistic, had autistic kids, AND studied psychology and autism at university.

I'm building an app with the autistic community in mind and would love to connect! If you're open to sharing your daily experiences or giving feedback on a prototype, let's chat! Comment below or DM me - I'd love to hear from you! πŸ™Œ

You are up to date.
