www1.flightrising.com [Update] 10/21 Maintenance | Flight Rising Discussion | Flight Rising

Welcome back! We have a small summary here for everyone in Flight Rising Discussion. It's pretty much the same information we posted to socials not that long ago, but it's now on the Flight Rising website for you to reference. #FlightRising www1.flightrising.com/forums/frd/3...

[Update] 13:20 Server time, 10/21 We're happy (and greatly relieved) to announce that we expect the Flight Rising website to be back online and available to players by 14:00 server time (5:00 pm EDT), today October 21st. (1/6) #FlightRising

View full thread

Now when you visit the gem purchase page, you will see only one Purchase button. When you click this button, you will be offered with three or four different payment options to choose from: Credit card, PayPal, Google Pay, and Venmo (mobile-only). (5/6) #FlightRising

Thank you for your patience while we worked to apply the necessary patches and ensure the security of the Flight Rising website! Thank you for being a part of Flight Rising and we'll see you back online very soon! (6/6) #FlightRising

Due to the volume of dragons (active and inactive) on the site, we will be feeding dragons and topping off the Well-Fed bonus only for accounts that have been active on the website within the past seven days. (3/6) #FlightRising

The Riot of Rot skin contest submission deadline is extended to 23:59 server time on Thursday, October 22nd. We also took advantage of this downtime to include a planned update to our gem purchase system. (4/6) #FlightRising

At this time we do not believe the Flight Rising website was compromised by the PHP exploits but we will be performing a more thorough audit to verify our initial findings. (2/6) #FlightRising

[Update] 10:00 server time, 10/21 Our engineers are currently strategizing how best to move forward and begin implementation and testing of the fixes. We still do not have an ETA to provide at this time. Thank you for your patience while we continue to address the PHP vulnerabilities and patches.

[Update] 10/21 Maintenance Early yesterday evening (10/20) we learned about reported PHP vulnerabilities. We began work immediately in testing. We decided to place the site in maintenance & disable our internet-facing PHP so our team could get sleep ahead of today's work. (1/4) #FlightRising

We do not have an ETA for you at this time. The security and integrity of the Flight Rising website is our highest priority and we will not rush this process. We will update you on our social media throughout the day as information becomes available. (3/4) #FlightRising

This morning (10/21) official documentation on the vulnerabilities was released to the public. Our engineering team is currently reading up on the official documentation and reviewing how best to proceed. (2/4) #FlightRising www.php.net/index.php

php.netPHPPHP is a popular general-purpose scripting language that powers everything from your blog to the most popular websites in the world.

Scheduled Maintenance The Flight Rising website will undergo scheduled maintenance on Wednesday October 21st at 07:00 server time. This is a 'curtains down' maintenance to apply critical updates to our PHP infrastructure. (1/2) #FlightRising

There is a chance this maintenance may start earlier without any additional warning if we determine this is in the best interest of site security. (2/2) #FlightRising
