Aw, this breaks my heart. As someone who has seen a good chunk of the Star Trek movies, Chekov was always my favorite. He always exuded a layer of kindness and tenderness on the screen. May he rest in peace.

My pal Danielle Koenig shared that her father Walter Koenig passed away last night at age 90. A performer whose kindness and warmth shone through the screen. He will be well remembered.

Without my consent, my android phone has decided to replace Google Assistant with Google Gemini. Previously, my phone allowed me to choose Assistant over Gemini. It's absolutely insane how companies are now forcing GenAI upon customers, going as far as to create an illusion of choice for them.

I've been thinking about it recently, but I'm really starting to think that I am most definitely neurodiverse in some way. I might have autism and/or ADHD. I feel as if I possess many traits that are common amongst neurodiverse people. Incoming long thread... 🧵

My special interests also extend beyond years. I'm obsessed with anthropomorphic animals. The designs appeal to me so much and they bring me lots of comfort. It's why I love being a furry. Sometimes, I look through the art I've received and it puts a smile on my face everytime.

I have other stuff about me, but I think I've done enough sharing. While I don't want to make any statements as I'm not diagnosed, I feel happy in knowing that there may be reasons as to why I am the way I am and that there are many just like me. I'm really becoming more comfortable with myself. ❤️

I also had issues with my voice inflection. I have a sort of monotone voice, so people struggled understanding me at times. My mom used to say "it's not what you said, it's how you said it." That would drive me crazy because I felt I was clear. I also just couldn't change my voice.

I also think I may possess some sensory issues. One that really irritates me is wear wet clothing. Wet clothing bothers me so much and makes me feel uncomfortable with my movements. If possible, I avoid wearing any wet clothing.

A lot of famous sayings don't make sense to me. The biggest one that I dislike is "you wear your heart on your sleeve." I absolutely cannot stand it for some reason. I understand what it means, but I always thought it was a stupid phrase.

Socializing was difficult growing up. While other kids cared about soccer, I was more interested in Nintendo. My father wanted me to be involved in sports and encouraged me to play soccer. I appreciate him for wanting me to not be left out, but I just hated that conformity.

I have a really odd special interest for years... Like, when I hear a song, I want to know the year it came out. When I see someone mention a show, I look up the year it debuted. I'm constantly thinking about years. I'm not sure why I'm like this. I've been like this since I was a kid.

I almost got a stroke reading this paragraph.

Steven Spielberg is returning to Paramount’s cult Transformers franchise alongside longtime producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura and with Michael Bay, long a master of mayhem, in talks to possibly direct the next tentpole for fanboys of vehicles.

Perhaps I was too harsh on FurAffinity... I have so many gripes with FA, but in a world where people are starting to vibecode websites for profit, it's so nice to use a website that is built and maintain by actual people.

FA is one of the few places online that - loads (underline this twice) - has a gallery format - has a new submissions page - does not allow AI - has real breathing humans I can contact - honestly I just find furry art joyful and inclusive
