Listening to the @70mmpod.com about The Love Witch (a movie I really enjoyed!) and I appreciate how the hosts start the conversation by acknowledging the director Anna Biller is likely a TERF and explaining what that means, I think it will help bring context to this film too

Watching East of Eden and damn this is a difficult show (episode three specifically)

My site used to run Drupal 6 and eventually just stopped working because the PHP version was updated enough on my server that it didn't support D6 anymore. When I decided to resurrect firsthour.net last year I rewrote it completely as a static site which was a prescient move given today's news

It also means I can host it on Cloudflare for free by just pushing the HTML files to GitHub

and as much as I loved Mass Effect I have never played The Citadel DLC because it came out well after I had wrapped up the series (and replayed Mass Effect 3 three times for all the achievements), I gotta get to that!

I wrote about Mass Effect on my site no less than 22 more times, reviewing basically every piece of content and DLC, the related novels, and more. Thank you Bioware!

The original Mass Effect became a top three game of all-time for me, maybe second only to Chrono Trigger, I think this happened AFTER Mass Effect 2 came out and I began to appreciate what the original did even more. Here's my full review of the original game: firsthour.net/first-hour-r...

Happy 20th anniversary to The Prestige! Can't wait to see my favorite movie in the theater for the first time next year

Why are there more political ads in Wisconsin during the Guardians/Rays game than during the Brewers games??

Discord embeds for my site were kinda funky but turns out they require the tag <meta name="twitter:card" content="summary_large_image"> to make them appear correctly, kinda strange

Watching an episode of Jet Lag on @nebula.tv where they're in Utqiagvik, Alaska in 2023 and they point out a $15 twelve pack of Coke and are shocked by the price. Meanwhile that's just like the normal non-sale soda price these days

No joke. I think this is the most important video I have ever seen about mobile games. This guy breaks down how this game psychologically profiles you, and makes the game harder or easier in order to show you ads

Comparison of my two PC saves, the first one took 35 hours doing all the side quests, this run with zero side quests till 25 hours, only a difference in one level for Cloud between the two

reported on something that was really difficult for a lot of people for a lot of different reasons in a lot of different ways.

Back in May, Double Fine employees petitioned for a union. Two weeks later, that petition was withdrawn. What happened? https://kotaku.com/inside-the-failed-fight-to-unionize-one-of-gamings-most-idealized-studios-2000742755

Somehow the motion smoothing settings got reset on my TV and I noticed instantly but didn't want to interrupt the movie my wife picked for her birthday so I had to wait over an hour to fix them

I live in Wisconsin so I'm allowed to bandwagon the Milwaukee Brewers! Let's go!!

Now playing Final Fantasy VII Remake for the third time. This game has a great first hour

I really thought Satisfactory would go to space instead of underground but I'm watching an interview with the devs and they seem really inspired by limiting the amount of room you have to build so that's pretty cool
