Steam Next Fest is feeling super overwhelming this time. I decided to use the filters to try and find some games for me. Is there really no way hide genres you don't want to see? This is the improved UI?

Finding Polka is a "dog-searching walking sim" drawn with ballpoint pen! The main objective is to find your dog Polka, but along the way you'll also find so many amazing little details hidden in each scene. You don't have to do this search alone though, because lovely long dog Jazz tags along.

Can't believe it's been 5 years with TOEM! Whenever someone asks for suggestions of cute & cozy indie games to play, TOEM is always top of my list! Absolutely recommend grabbing it now while it's on special (and even when it's not). Then go listen to the soundtrack all day.

It’s hard to believe, but TOEM released on this day 5 years ago! We made a video to reflect on the past few years and thank everyone who has supported us no matter when you joined us on our journey. Also, TOEM is 90% off on Steam and Nintendo Switch. www.youtube.com/watch?v=F5NQ...

There is an AI Gaming Festival happening on Steam right now. The creators claim it's to showcase that AI can be used to make good games, not just slop. I've taken a look at a few of the game pages and nearly all their disclosures mention AI created assets which are "refined" by humans.

If these devs are willing to be in an AI Gaming Fest, maybe they should be more honest about the AI usage in their games. It looks like they want the exposure a festival like this provides (though I'm not sure that is positive exposure), and want to downplay AI usage. Can they have it both ways?

I did it! I wrote a new newsletter post and you can read it here: strawberry.kit.com/posts/the-di... This months featured games are: 🍓Consume Me (@qdork.bsky.social) 🍓Cozy Tide

strawberry.kit.comThe discomfort of Consume MeLet's talk indies! This edition we discuss the discomfort of Consume Me and winding down with Cozy Tide.

I used to send out a monthly newsletter that included a review of a game with less than 10 Steam reviews. Finding them was hard, and I got anxious about having one for every issue. Well, I think I’ve solved that problem! So, I might start writing it again! Sign up here:

Today I reached out to a dev asking whether they'd join Bluesky for updates on their game. They replied with a no and to join their Discord. I'm a big Discord user, but I'm not joining servers for every indie game I follow. Indie devs need to do better when promoting their games.

A Tiny Ghost Game by @littlebughunter.bsky.social I only heard of this because of the strange coincidence! Also a cool platformer with a completely different pixel style than Little Ghost. I look forward to playing as a tiny ghost as well as a little one. store.steampowered.com/app/4928440/...

🤩 TOEM is one of my favourite games and I can't believe the second one is coming out so soon!

Your photography adventure is getting closer!! Snap up TOEM 2 starting September 29, 2026 on PC, Nintendo Switch 1 + 2, and PlayStation 5! Add it to your wishlist to get a reminder when it’s live: s.team/a/2900640/

On the surface, Cozy Tide is a simple fishing game, but it there is so much more to do! Every time I play I unlock something new and I can't stop playing! There are also a huge amount of cosmetics to unlock and I keep changing them because I can't decide what outfit and companion to use.

So, have The Gamers™️not realised that Forza Horizon 6 is a cozy game with cars? If the subject matter were something other than cars they'd be calling it a "girls game". Embrace the cozy! And check out my bright pink Toyota 86!

I haven't played a racing game in years, but something about Forza Horizon 6 made me want the zoomies. I may never own an mx5, but I have a shiny one in the game now. There's also way more exploration than I was expecting it and I'm having a lot of fun! Even if I regularly crash.

Pieced Together is such a bittersweet experience. Learning about Connie and Beth's friendship through the years, knowing that in the present they haven't seen each other in a while. And reflecting on all the friendships that have come and gone in my own life. Plus it's so beautiful!

Somehow I forgot that Call of the Elder Gods was first person. "It'll be fine" I said to myself. It was not fine. But it is super pretty, just like Call of the Sea. I'll go back to it, but next time I'll have my motion sickness band on. #ScreenshotSaturday

Dorfromantik is my ultimate comfort game! I never expected we'd see more content for it, so I'm super excited for the new biome pack!

Hear ye, hear ye! The Medieval Biome Pack is coming to DORFROMANTIK on June 2! Get ready for 3 seasonal biomes, 2 new medieval-inspired music tracks, and a charming world full of half-timbered houses, sailing ships, and mighty castles! The Steam page is live today! WISHLIST NOW! #indiegame

Today I realised Mixtape is on GamePass and I played it all in one session! It's like playing a really fun coming of age movie. Such a good game about teenaged friendships. And of course it has an excellent sound track. #ScreenshotSaturday

I joined The Regreening playtest and I can't wait to see how the game progresses! The world is so beautiful, even the barren, desolate parts. It's so satisfying to see them flourish and bring colour and life back to the landscape though. I even got the bees to return!

I had the immense pleasure of putting together an illustration for this new australian Magazine, very humbled that that @serrels.bsky.social and @jacksonwryan.com chose me to scribble on their first cover. Please consider backing local australian journalism. there are stories here worth telling.

I want to introduce you all to something myself and @jacksonwryan.com have been working on. A PRINT MAGAZINE about video games and video game culture. We know things have been bad for games writing recently. We're asking, "do you want to Continue?" www.kickstarter.com/projects/con...

Can't believe it's been 10 years of Stardew Valley! With nearly 300 hours enjoyed, it's the longest I've spent with a game, and one I've come back to many times over the years. It's also the first game I streamed on Twitch back in 2017! This was one of my first start screens.
