So some days ago a thought intruded into my mind: "Culture is a 'Red Herring', a figment of the human imagination"... ___ #fz_drawing #fish #herring #sardine #RedHerring #shiny #bright #lights #hands #abstract #conceptual #sketch #illustrationVisualisation #sembah #ikan #mancingmania #budaya

A cousin had a heart attack earlier this afternoon today. He's in the hospital now. Got the news via family WhatsApp. We're the same age. And now it's 12:28 am and I'm awake thinking & imagining what if I myself had a heart attack. Among other worries. (drawing made several years ago) #fzDrawing

I just want people reading this "seemingly scary" headline and blurb to remember that previous to this Disney was suing Character.ai for IP theft.

WIRED@wired.com

The entertainment giant hopes to get trust and safety tech, among other IP, from a startup whose chatbots dozens of states allege encouraged minors to self-harm and kill their parents.

And if the Character ai staff culture doesn't "work well" with Disney's already well-established AI robotics culture then well, the Character ai people can just go get fired. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Meta took down the No Kings instagram; TikTok banned the Musk documentary account for supposedly violating its political posting policies. Exported to PSD on my phone, sent it to my laptop, and then exported a less-compressed .jpg version of this one... I don't know why Sketchbook Android borked the export on that origial one from a few days ago *shrug*

Like, Greta Van Fleet *doesn't just use* orchestral arrangements, they *actually collaborate* with orchestral composers. ....And y'know what? I think a Greta Van Fleet x. David Bruce collaboration might possibly be magical. Maybe. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I feel I don't want to participate in Portfolio Day today, because my work portfolio archive today does not correlate very well with the kind of employment I want to secure going forward. ...And that is with full consideration that I still regularly need to purchase food, clothing, and shelter.

I still wish Digger was a Les Grossman pseudo-sequel. That said I respect Innaritu doing his usual high-quality socially-impactful Innaritu thing. And I do not respect all the try-hards declaring Digger must be Burned because Scientology and shit. Fucking lame that, I say.

I am intrigued by the premise of this book, and I think its arguments are argued passionately and expertly by multiple experienced persons. Just from the preview page. But from same, I feel the vitriolic angry pushback just oozing from the words. trainor.fyi/books/drawn/

Hey @scottmccloud.bsky.social what do you think of this framework for "natively published" webcomics on Bluesky/ATPtoto? (I mean sure it's a bit complicated/"in the weeds" for the typical comics creator who at best works regilarly with Procreate/Photoshop/Krita/Inkscape, but still though...)
