Is there a company or project that offers a service to take an open source Mastodon client and relaunch it on the App Store and Play Store with custom branding and pre-configured with a default server?

Surprisingly his has actually produced quite a susinct picture of solarpunk

Let us build together the largest resource on what is, and what is not #solarpunk! https://qum.cz/is_it_solarpunk/ Leave a comment, if you definitely know about something that either is, or is not solarpunk! Thanks! #unix_surrealism

I see some news spilling into my feed that the bad guy didn't win in serbia... I know nothing about serbian politics but there has been so little good news so I will celebrate it regardless

Arnt Gulbrandsen wrote a new link parsing library called UTS58 that Mastodon just switched to. This huge undertaking was one of the main blockers to creating a truely #GloballyInclusiveFediverse! Mastodon historically used a library made and maintained by Twitter for all link-ification but when […]

Really excited to see progress on this effort after many many years of stalled discussion. Thanks to @Edent, @hongminhee, @lnkr, @north and @evan as well for their recent work on this matter, I can now see a fediverse in sight that supports the world's languages fully!

#TIL there's a spec for detecting links in text: "UTS #58: Unicode Link Detection and Formatting: URLs and Email Addresses" https://www.unicode.org/reports/tr58/ #Unicode #UTS58

Addendum: if anyone knows what Arnt Gulbrandsen's fediverse handle is I would love to properly thank them!

Attempting to implement censorship through #DNS is like trying to divert a river with a traffic sign. This is a technically flawed decision by the French courts. It won't work and it's actively harmful to the internet. https://quad9.net/news/blog/au-revoir-france/ #Quad9 #France #EUpol #FRpol

I think the fediverse needs to come to terms with the fact that Instagram and Telegram are the biggest things we actually need to make solutions for not Twitter.

I think we need serious collective of people to build out a mission driven and ideologically motivated "startup" that lays out not just a single "product" attempts fostering an ecosystem that works together.

I look out at the tech collectives that do exist and don't know what exactly I think a replicatable model is. I think this problem is closer to building a web browser then it is to starting a company or designing an app.

I do not think the Pixelfed or Mastodon projects are at all moving in the direction able to take us there to build a base for the next million MAUs. For many reasons, but to start, for their choice of programming languages they are written in.
