For people not aware: Lemuria is a spec evo project of the #paleostream community. It follows the evolution of organisms living on the fictional continent of Lemuria (fusion of Madagascar and India) from the Cretaceous to the Pleistocene. We are now in the Pleistocene. #LemuriaChallenge

I have REALLY been enjoying Humankind (the game) recently. I had accidentally partially conflated it with CIV V and didn't realise until I played a game of that on the HTPC.

I'm very much comfortable with my place as something like vaguely ace but IDK if there's a real term for describing how even if I'm not interested in sex etc I still have a vague affinity for women

There's also one of those people who play loud music on the train here right now. Except he's literally playing it. He's just carrying around an accordion.

I keep thinking about Branded in how it compares to Tear format. In both cases it's a deck that isn't (generally) doing anything notably toxic, but card quality is just so high that unless you're doing some kind of fuckass toxic bullshit there's no way to keep up

I'm concert, playing anything that isn't Branded (or KT) right now just feels like all the things that made people dislike Tear format without any of the things that made in so insanely GOOD for those with Reinohearts

The core differences as I see them are 1. Branded isn't quite as resistant to floodgates as IshTear was, so those toxic decks have more space 2. The Branded mirror ISN'T the single most interesting matchup in the history of Yu-Gi-Oh like the Tear mirror is

3. Because Branded isn't AS dominant as Tear was (and Kewl Tune being a toxic combo deck on its level), you spend more time playing against the annoying cheese than you ever did during Tear format
