Day 21 -- Sorcerer "See? Magic." "Whh--that's not magic, that's cheating. Also, where were you hiding that bird and how long was it in there." "Bah, everyone's a critic."

Day 20 -- Spiced Though humble in appearance, a single deep woods spiceberry could be brewed into hundreds of cups of tea.

Day 19 -- Insect "Oh, ummm, actually, I asked for LIGHT ants...? I'm watching my chitin intake, haha..."

Day 18 -- Dark Water Hussars with an affinity for water often employed domesticated beasts to help them navigate the murky riverways of the deep woods, and though there were flashier options, many insisted that no better-mannered companion existed for the job than a whiskerhead carp.

Day 17 -- Roots In the somewhat treacherous footing of the forest floor toward the center of the deep woods, the trees themselves at times provided useful roadways.

Day 16 -- Scythe Stealing from giants so close to harvest time is such a monumentally stupid thing to do, it may as well be a mandatory initiation ritual.

Day 15 -- Gourd The improbable yawning gourd, useless to all except the birds of the Fallows, was so ubiquitous every autumn despite its lack of seed-bearing fruit that it was theorized to be itself a seasonal fae.

Day 14 -- Cobweb Experienced travelers in the deep woods know to follow two rules when navigating the domains of direwolf spiders: never disturb the cobwebs, and always remember to look up.

Not sure if this one merits a graphic content warning, but it's just some blood!

Day 12 -- Goblin Though unlikely to attack on their own, the goblins of Stag's Run remained a threat to travelers in the woods due to their tendency to swarm.

Day 11 -- Tarnished Though an otherwise easily-overlooked monument, the commemorative bronze visage of Corky, the first carrier bat to cross the Alabaster Gulf, was known by local university students to bring good luck if you gave its nose a pat.

Day 10 -- Acorn Though technically edible, acorns from giant oaks required extensive processing to leach out their bitter and toxic compounds. Instead, they were gathered for the weevil larvae commonly found inside, referred to by locals and no one else as "deep woods lobster."

Day 9 -- Sinister Brew I mean sure drinking out of the Slime Well grants you extraplanar wisdom beyond all mortal comprehension, but like... at what cost??

Day 8 -- Doll Though rubber teething toys remain popular distractions for puppies, the unfortunate implications of those shaped like prey animals has made certain subject matters a thing of the past (unless your grandparents never threw anything away).

Day 7 -- Steam Only on a cold autumn morning does the old adage "cozy as a phoenix nest" become quite so visibly apt.

Day 6 -- Undead IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN, WHEN EVERYONE'S LEAST-FAVORITE FAE CLAWS ITS WAY OUT OF THE GROUND SCREAMING

Day 5 -- Harlequin Though physically harmless, harlequin moths had been known to startle hapless travelers into making poor decisions when encountered in the deep woods at night.

Day 4 -- Antlers Raising scarabs with intact wings to be tame housepets required a good deal of patience, but having a built-in perch made for a decent enough icebreaker.

Pen's the kind of person who would be the first killed in a horror movie just out of sheer inability to take any of it seriously.

Day 2 -- Leaves Experienced foragers knew to pick only the most flavorful herbs at the base of the plant; a process that at times involved scuffed knees and snagged antlers.

Day 1 -- Mushroom Though a bit squishy, the naturally hollow mushrooms in the borderlands between the deep woods and Stag's Run made for a fine enough shelter from the rain, in a pinch.

Happy Drawlloween!! πŸŽƒπŸŽƒπŸŽƒπŸŽƒπŸŽƒ As always I try to include some prompts that I don't typically see on these lists, so if you're like me and have done this challenge many times, a few of these might be new to ya.

Makeship has extended the 3 wolf moon shirt campaign! It will now be available until next Tuesday, 9/22. That of course means ✨giveaway time!✨ Winners will receive a free tee, no shipping payment required. Details below!

Been a hot minute since I was able to add in some patron cameos! Left to right: thank you to Firepaw14 (wolf), Dylan (macaw), Goose (possum), and Starryeyes (AWD) for letting me borrow your OCs for this page.

Makeship was kind enough to let me do a lil run of shirts, so from now until September 12th, the Three Wolf Moon tee design will be available for preorder! If esoteric graphic tees are your thing, you can check it out right here: www.makeship.com/products/thr... Thank you so much! πŸ¦ŒπŸ’™

Since a lot of folks have requested Indy's shirt from the last chapter be made into merch, this seemed like a good excuse to finally remake the graphic in a wearable resolution. The original design is quite small :')
