I rage quit Deviant Art years ago when it went all AI. But cool pics from reddit sometimes lead me there, and I wonder if I need to just deal with the AI crap to have access to a cool art site. But I HATE second guessing every art piece. And yet no other site has really replaced it. ๐Ÿ˜‘

Every time I use U in a word, like Honour... I feel like spell check is gaslighting me. "That's wrong." No, that's how it's spelled here! "OK. If you say so... just go ahead and click post, with that red line there clearly showing it's wrong. It'll be fiiiine."

Sometimes writing a page is easy, and sometimes its like trying to chissel art from diamond. I know it'll look good when it's done but damn it's hard. (And puts me so far behind ๐Ÿ˜ญ)

If your cutting off ink immediately, you should let people redeem what they have, and then unlock every comic until closure. And give your original creators a severance package or something. Good reminder to not sign on with platforms. I'll be deleting my comic of here after I notify readers.

Also that last part? "our stories will always be part of tapas"... is that a threat? lol. Are you stealing our sh*t on the way out? can't be a part of what's not there.

Started reading wings of fire last night. And got immediately hit with dragons with the same names as some of my dragons... I mean, there are only so many fire themed names out there, but I cringe at anything that might hint at me copying something. ๐Ÿ˜ญ Its basically imposible to be original.

For some reason, as soon as art is involved, people seem to forget about genre. Comics and animation aren't genres, they're the medium. But comics and animation are always seperated in to their own catagories, not mixed with genres like horror and fantasy, and so its an easy mistake to make. ๐Ÿ˜‘

I try and keep this mind for myself, so im not comparing my comic to other more succesful ones that are totally unrelated like gag strips. r/comics is a prime example of this lumping together of the medium.

Was logged out of bluesky on my phone, and too lazy to look up the password. and so... have been silent on here for weeks now. ๐Ÿ˜… Time to crawl back in to social media though.

Spent the morning covering up Flare Cleavage on the new eps. for the Webtoon prudes. Good times. ๐Ÿ˜‘ Hopefully that's what they didn't like. Otherwise. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Getting back in to writing mode. Going on break is a bit stressful, worrying people will forget about the comic... but it really helps regenerate excitement for working on the comic!

I dont see enough talk about writing from comic people. The page im working on was hard to write, and took a while before i could even start drawing it. But people just tend see art when they of how long the comic took. I could be wrong. But just sayin' writing is hard ya'll... ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

I'm not gonna lie. Sometimes drawing a comic feels like work. But sometimes, it's like, the best freaking thing ever. This is one of those weeks. I'm so lucky, and eternally grateful I get to do it. ๐Ÿฅฐ

Just a reminder that tiny, seemingly harmless criticisms, can feel like motivation draining gut punches to a creator. Critique is fine, even useful, and most creators can handle it. Just think before you post. Comments like, "why is this so short" are not useful. Just feel bad complaints.

I miss having someone to blame when the character design, or costume design is super annoying to draw. Now I just gotta look in the mirror, and mutter... *idiot*

I found my comic in russian, on a russian comic site. Without crediting me. Cool. I wonder where else it's being posted? I suppose pirating is a form of flattery? ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

I put it out for free. So people sharing it is okay. But monetizing it, and claiming it's yours through the omission of credit. That's when it becomes stealing.
