Dear my own hands, when you think you've started to lose your grip of something you're holding, the least helpful possible response is to make mad flailing grabs all over the place, you fucking pair of idiots.

Google's Gemini in "actually knowing what's up" shocker > Because the code is "shonky as all fuck," manually fixing thousands of uninitialized variables or missing array keys with ?? or isset() isn't realistic for a quick deployment.

Street Fighter is absolutely glorious, but as a caveat, I could not be more squarely in the crosshairs of the movie's target demo. But still, so much attention to detail paid to so many aspects that they easily could've just skipped over. Really, really well done.

Getting two doses of Jessica Chastain in a movie sounded like a bargain so I went and had a watch of Other Mommy. There's two *great* body horror moments, literally just moments, and the rest is... kinda empty & bad. There's a good foundation but it'd need a lot of work to make actually work.

Such as, work on the moment-to-moment dialogue, which is empty and uninvolved and bad. Such as, work on the overall scenario-to-scenario plotting, which is rather disconnected and unmotivated. Such as, work on the interpersonal drama, which is far too obvious and uninspired.

Oh my word, incredible Hacienda sort-of-documentary 24 Hour Party People is playing at the cinema today (CIneworld at least), for the film's 24th anniversary. To brave Saturday night London traffic or not, that is the question.

In between the normal stuff you see on TVs in dentist waiting rooms, there are *movie trailers* playing on this one. The TV, of course, has motion smoothing on, so they look awful as well as out of place. Dystopia++

Firstly, Digger was captivating start to end. Secondly, it's quite out there. Thirdly, I've never seen a Wes Anderson movie so might be talking out my ass here, but feels quite like a Wes Anderson film went on an acid trip, in places. Fourthly, Tom Cruise, Riz Ahmed, John Goodman, all amazing.

Fifthly, was mildly convinced Richard David James scored at least the opening sequence but apparently it was someone who is real and actually exists called "Cosmo Sheldrake", which does makes perfect sense in hindsight.

Admittedly I'm here on the dot, and the ads haven't even started yet, but when I booked #Digger tickets like two hours ago there was only one other seat taken. Unusual to see a screen completely empty. Oh that other guy just walked in. Bah humbug.

You could easily, *easily*, cut at least 40 minutes from Hope, the new Korean monster movie, by just not having the creature magically lose distance on whoever it's chasing every time the camera cuts to a new angle. The chases go on *so long*. Film's ok, but not in the "buy the 4K too" category.

The twat sat next to me in Endgame Encore just now started recording the big battle at the end on his phone. *Vertically*. And then looked at me like *I* was the weirdo when I asked him to put it away. We need to go extinct, I think, maybe.

I see Nintendo knew the pre-order release for the Ocarina remake woud be pretty popular, then. Queue system already in effect and 3,800 people ahead of me and I went straight there after the direct
