The biggest, brassiest, honkingest weekend of the year is here! ERB is thrilled to return to the HONK! Festival — along with 34 other street bands from around the country — for a weekend of community, joy, and most of all FREE amazing music in Somerville!

Want to hear us play? Here’s our schedule: SATURDAY IN DAVIS SQUARE (Somerville) 4:00-5:00pm - Day Street 6:45-7:30pm - Davis Square Plaza SUNDAY PARADE 12pm - Kickoff in Davis Square SUNDAY IN HARVARD SQUARE (Cambridge) 2:08-2:16pm - Main Stage 5:00-5:30pm - Palmer Street Hope to see you there!

What a night we had at Lippitt Park! Thank you to the city of Providence for sponsoring our show via the Ely Fund Performing Arts Series, to everyone who came out to dance with us, and to the good folks of Hope and Pawtucket who put up with our making a ruckus on a school night.

Coming this Thursday to a neighborhood park near you…it’s ERB! Thanks to another generous sponsorship from Providence’s municipal Ely Fund program, we will be at Lippitt Park for an open rehearsal on August 27. Come out to hear the music — or sit in and jam with us!

Megan’s pieces reflect on her connection with her father and the experience of navigating the healthcare system, including collaborations with him during his battle with cancer. It is a privilege to support our bandmates in their artistic endeavors, both within and outside of ERB!

There’s nothing like an ERB parade — you can see the joy from the other night when we led the Tartan Army across the Pedestrian Bridge! Now imagine this scene…but with tens of thousands of people lining the whole of downtown in celebration of the LGBTQ+ community.

UPDATE: Despite our sunny disposition, ERB's Porchfest performance has been canceled. We'll still be around today to support other great musicians, including our friends in Anchors Away and Tin Roof. Hope to see you out there!

The rain can't dampen our spirits for one of our favorite days of the year! Hope to see you this afternoon at Porchfest — whether it's at our set at 2pm, or while watching one of the dozens of other great musicians performing for free in a near neighborhood near you!

“Spontaneous moments of raucous musical joy” is literally the ERB tagline. It’s hard to think of a moment more spontaneous or joyful than this chance encounter with the beautiful newlyweds Summer and Joshua at the Minneapolis Mayday parade last weekend. So glad the SousaCam was rolling!

*record scratch* Yep, that's us! You’re probably wondering how we ended up in this situation… In the 17-year history of the Extraordinary Rendition Band, we’ve played in a whole lot of parades. We’ve also crashed a few weddings. But we had never done both at the same time — until this weekend.

Meet Summer and Joshua. These lovebirds got married Sunday morning on their way to the Minneapolis Mayday festival. They and their friends slotted in right behind us in the parade. So ERB became their wedding band over their walk down the aisle to Powderhorn Park!

There was already magic in the air throughout the Mayday festival but getting to play for and dance with the happy couple was truly a highlight of our trip to Minnesota. Congratulations, Summer and Joshua! And thank you Blake Nellis for sharing these amazing shots of the citywide wedding reception!

Thank you to the parade organizers for inviting us to be part of the march, to the people of the Twin Cities for your courage and strength, and to our friends and parade-mates in the Forward! Marching Band for spending the afternoon jamming with us in the streets!
