I played a version of this at Unpub two years (?) ago, and I still think about it.

Hey Rex Regnat fans, I have good news! First, thanks to Blue Panther, we have a second printing of the game available for order here- www.bluepantherllc.com/products/rex... Second, for those of you going to @sdhistcon.bsky.social , I will be participating in the night market there as well!

I played a test version of this and it's really cool. I'd say it's like a self-contained Mร–RK BORG style dungeon crawl (although it's not in a dungeon). A quick analog adventure with a fair bit of replayability. Plus it's free. Free is good.

New (free) solo adventure game. You are cursed to wander the twisted Sarkash forest. Can you survive long enough to escape? m-allen-hall.itch.io/this-wretche...

Thanks to @gregisonthego.bsky.social and @am0.bsky.social, I was able to participate in this HU student playtesting as well. Such a fun and inspiring time! Check out @mandashafer.bsky.social's thoughts on it. Well worth the read. Link below.

Reposting because I don't know how to link.. A discussion about what a degree means and how it relates to game design after playtesting at Harrisubrg University mandashafer.substack.com/p/what-game-...

#Mร–RKtober Day 20: Crab Your group approaches the shore of The Endless Sea, and you find the towering remains of a giant crab washed ashore. Itโ€™s clear itโ€™s been there for sometime. Perhaps you could use its left over exoskeleton as a shelter. You may even get lucky and find something useful inside.

Same. It's the best group of supportive/positive people.

I've learned so much about game design and publishing from the think tank in the Atopia discord server. Here's a cool update about some of the projects coming out of members of the community.

"An amazing zine with great tables to roll up something weird and dark when your creativity feels blocked. Perfect way to try out different styles and media for your work which you otherwise maybe wouldnโ€™t try or think off." ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ™

Running Delta Green this weekend. My first time as well as the first time for all three players. Using the LTL scenario from the quick-start as a one-shot. Have 3-4 hours to play. Give me your best tips! Educate me! #deltagreen #ttrpg #rpg #apocalypse

I'm hosting an Indie TTRPG Self-Publisher Meetup at PAX Unplugged this year! It will be on Sunday 12/6 from 12 PM - 1 PM in the Community Room. More details to follow. I'll keep this page updated: www.exeunt.press/meetup It's informal. Stop by to say hello to your fellow creators!

Finger teeth.

Dragons in Fomoria are failures in the world's design, and each hungers for one thing. Yovash is but a gaping mouth filled with teeth that move like fingers. It devours whatever falls into its maw, all slowly becoming part of its massive, protean insides. It hungers for kings. fomoria.com

Everything is technically an auction game. ๐Ÿ˜‰

DVC Games ๐Ÿ”œ PAXU@dvcgames.bsky.social

So the catch with this โ€˜worker placementโ€™ so far is two-fold. 1) Your workers stay put, and the tallest stack of pieces scores points for that space. 2) Spaces are non-exclusive. So technically it is an auction game, where each token you bid gives an action.

Program description: "Meet fellow indie TTRPG creators, put faces to names, reconnect with friends, and share what you're working on. Find collaborators or just stop by to say hello. Hang out and connect with your fellow indie publishers and all types of creators."

If youโ€™ve been curious about my tiny solo journaling experience, A Ghostโ€™s Story, check out this great review by @exeunt.press. I appreciate the thoughtful review and insight he brought to my little project. If you want to try it out yourself, itโ€™s free during the month of October at a0rtega.itch.io

Thank you to @peoplesbooktakoma.com for hosting PeopleCon 3 over the weekend! And Gene for organizing it! Had a great time. Always good to chat face to face with people I usually only talk to online. That's one of the best parts of the day! I'll post more at omnes.exeunt.press soon.

I wrote about "maximalist" submarine wargame design in Tumulus Issue 4. Nice to see someone working on a minimalist design. Rules you can explain and then play in an hour? Count me in!

Nick Bradbeer@nickbradbeer.bsky.social

I think I have *finally* got a submarine tactical wargame simple enough for a 1-hour classroom session to introduce wargaming COA analysis to submarine design students. Quite happy with that.

Did you know I wrote and illustrated a tiny solo journaling #zine called A Ghost's Story? It's a fun little tribute to my favorite time of the year ๐ŸŽƒ where you only get one-word responses. Those who've played it have really enjoyed it! I'd love for you to check it out ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ป #illustration #dippen #ink
