I've seen a lot of programmers really disrespect themselves thinking that genAI is "fine" when it comes to coding or w/e because it's not "art" Programming is an art. It requires creativity. And you're literally programming graphics, it's visual art. It's just art. It counts. AI coding is AI "art"

Localization of dialogue is an art. Building engines and tools is art. Concept art is, well, art. Even placeholding art is art. If design or architecture are art forms then so is any act of building tools or systems. It's all art. And every AI model is built off stolen art, from every art form.

Playing fighting games competitively for years has definitely prepared me for 3D modeling in Blender because I have a lot of experience understanding cursed interactions between two boxes

I'm glad my deep seated confusion and disbelief for anyone approaching me with friendly prospects to hangout has at least prevented me from getting hacked through sketchy game mods or fake social apps multiple times despite some hacker's best efforts stay diligent out there folks they're slippery

Just got done playing "The Ohio Experience" in VRChat and I don't think I've seen a more unhinged, completely insane crashout-as-art collaborative piece before that It's surreal, absurd, inconvenient to play, strangely raw, cringe and beautiful all at once I wouldn't recommend it to anyone I know

To be clear, this is likely a top 10 world to me, at least by some measure. I think of it highly. I just don't think many other people would. But I'm weird and the source material is unfortunately relatable (in the funniest way possible) so it speaks to me.

fun fact I tried to avoid taking 4 photos of the same angle but every time I tried to take a photo facing the other direction I forgot the camera shows a mirror image to me and ended up making that same mistake 3 times in a row
