Iβm now gonna be sitting here and hoping that Warner Bros will include a dedication to Eric Bauza with this short before sending it to theaters in less than 2 weeks. He absolutely deserves it!
IMO it will be truly hard to pass the torch with him because he really was the next Mel, who was already carrying that massive burden while also making his own voice over the course of a generation that simply can not be replicated
Briefly pausing our break to shine a light on recent news.
Let the fan community mourn respectfully at this time. 46 is way too young for an unmatched talent like Eric Bauza. He is irreplaceable and it feels disrespectful to compare him to other voice actors like Jeff Bergman or Bob Bergenβ¦.
With the recent news about the VA Eric Bauzaβs unfortunate passing, I decided to draw Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner as a tribute to his legacy. Thank you, Eric. You will be missed.
Warner Bros. TV president Channing Dungey on Eric Bauza's passing:
"[He] was a unique voice talent who brought joy and laughter to millions around the world... In addition to his incredible talent, Eric was a treasured part of our animation family. Our hearts go out to his loved ones."
Stimpy #EricBauza
TV Show: Ren & Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon
Year: 2003
While this Spike TV (now Paramount Network) series was made by "you know who", it shouldn't take away the fact that this was Eric Bauza's first major voice acting role.

RIP Eric Bauza, one of the greatest of all time. Did almost every single one of those voices in Coyote vs Acme. Someone who clearly loved these characters so much that he wasn't just doing Mel Blanc, he made them his own.
Whenever Bugs, Daffy, Porky, Elmer, et al. have felt like living artistic entities lately, and not IP being shifted around a balance sheet, it has been because of Eric Bauza and people like him. Very sad about this loss.
Eric Bauza was a generational talent. Modern Looney Tunes really only found its footing with someone like that breathing fresh life into every one of those characters, and it's rare you see someone so clearly relish their work at every stage.
Rest in peace. Thank you for what you did for toons. π
My first professional voice gig, I got to share the booth with Bauza, him as Bugs and me as Beaky. I was so nervous, so scared... and then he came into the booth with me, reassured me, told me I'd do better than okay, and for that half hour I felt like I really could be good enough for him.
this isn't for Coyote vs. Acme because thats the WBA title
a new looney tunes project for television is definitely in the works rn and Pepe seems to play a part in it
Well, i think now this film is probably the most impactful film the Looney Tunes will ever have. The fight for it's release and now being one of the final projects Eric Bauza worked for not only the franchise but his career....fuck this one hurts man
Eric Bauza wasn't just an incredible actor. He fought for all of us, for the preservation of art, to see that real art got to shine, even in the face of corporate greed. The importance of him using his platform and his voice for the betterment of art cannot be understated.
Goodnight, sir.
really does feel like they got the 90s WB cartoon writers with all the esoteric pop culture parodies
and I love it especially the Psycho one that one's insane in the best way
speaks the creative freedom of these comics when stories like "Marvin the Martian gets mugged in 90s NYC" and "Daffy gets addicted to TV reruns that he has I Love Lucy induced fever dream" all happen in the same issue
really does feel like they got the 90s WB cartoon writers with all the esoteric pop culture parodies
and I love it especially the Psycho one that one's insane in the best way
1996 is the first breakout year for these comics, the writing has got the wit of 90s WB cartoons the art has gotten better, the stories more inventive and gags
Also gave us Slyvester and Tweety parodying Psycho which is better than it has any right to be
Space Jam is becoming a top priority so you could see how the comics are getting better in quality, this June 1996 issue is where it really feels like their expanding the cast
I think the best part this is marking when the comics started to become more playful of what they can do with the franchise which is like what they do best
