Tomorrow I'm traveling to a city I've never been to before to do walking tourism. So today I vibed the walking audio guide + AR app I've always wanted when being a tourist. Might have stumbled on something... 1/2

The app knows 2,725 named places. That includes 946 sights and landmarks, 178 plazas, 182 neighbourhoods, 881 restaurants and cafés, and 203 bars. Of those, 24 guide stops, 28 plazas and 23 barrios have hand-written narration in English and Spanish. 2/2

The sign said “Free shots! [ID required]”. I was like, “Awww yeah!” 🥃 . . . So now I have my flu vaccine. 💉 🦠

Last night I had two app ideas. I explained them, in < 100 words each, to my bot. Woke up to two functioning apps installed on my phone. WTAF?? Of course I've spent 5 hours today actually making them good, but... they're practically publishable in < 24 hours.

Having 6 agents going on 6 projects reminds me of the classic game Civilization. It was so hard to stop playing because there was always immediately another turn where decisions needed to be made.

My 13yo son knows all the #NYC landmarks from playing Spiderman. “Oh! It’s this! I’ve swung through here.” — And they say video games aren’t educational!

🤔 It must be really easy to be a spy these days now that literally everyone is wearing an earpiece and taking photos of everything. 🕵️‍♂️

This week, I FaceTimed into the memorial service for a dear friend of mine. It's not the same. Hugging a widow cannot be digitized.

TFW you auth into XCode to [have a bot] build a personal mobile app and you find that your account is still a member of a team from a startup you were ostensibly the CTO of 15 years ago. –– BONUS: A startup that relied entirely upon data pipe the the Cambridge Analytica scandal closed.

I just saw La Bola Negra in a *packed* Spanish cinema. As a work of cinematic art, it's better than The Odyssey, but The O is gonna win the Big O. This movie will be studied by cinema students.

I had a nightmare last night where my bots stalled asking for permission while I was in bio-sleep and my competitor passed me.

Daughter: "Father, if you ever went bald, you would need to wear a hat." Me: "I love hats!" Daughter: "Not as an accessory, but as a necessity!" Me (beaming with pride): "That's a sick sentence, gonna tweet it."

Tr*mp really dropped the ball on not renaming AI to “American Intelligence”, like @Apple attempted. Gulf, Lake, biggest tech trend? C’mon!

My favorite ever suitcase has finally died. It's my possession that elicited the most compliments from strangers. Including one gen-z TSA agent who thought it was referencing "Men In Black". Sweet summer child. HIT ME with your carry-on suitcase recommendations!

I just used RubberDuckGPT. By the time I finished dictating the question, I knew the answer. zero tokens burned.

I'm absolutely ASTONISHED that Apple has managed to make Siri WORSE on iOS and watchOS 27. The bar was SO LOW and yet they managed to limbo under it. My watch now says, "I'm sorry, but I am unable to set a timer on this device." WTAF?!

Wife was in the audience for my conference talk yesterday. She was astounded that I'm actually kind of good at it. It helped that she saw a few others before mine to calibrate the bar, but still. 🥰

This is a reference to a joke I remember from my childhood. As a kid, it was very edgy because it required a curse word. –– What do you get when you cross an elephant and a rhinoceros? . . . . . Hell if I know!

Couldn’t sleep. Sick. Started watching a movie starring De Niro, Kevin Bacon, Dustin Hoffman, Minnie Driver, Brad Pitt, and Billy Crudup.

Job interview question: "What causes a React component to re-render?" Bless his heart... he was just a recruiter. I imagine many don't get past that hurdle.

Somewhere I still have a CDR backup – of files that I thought were important – that I made on the evening of September 10, 2001. Little did I know how the world would change the following morning.

Just got a cold call from a recruiter. Great, I just announced that I was looking for a job! He wanted to discuss candidates he had for me to hire at my previous company. 🤦‍♂️
