Me: My trial of Jira was useful, let me renew the basic plan Atlassian: Great, that’s $10 Atlassian 9 days later: now pay us more for your Confluence license Me: I don’t have confluence, please move me to the free plan Atlassian: TY signing up for the Confluence trial. We will bill you next week 😡

Me: why does it now say my next Jira will bill at $30+? Atlassian: you are on the premium plan Me: I only asked for standard Atlassian: you’ll need to open a support ticket to change plans. We can’t do that online All I can say is ‘wow’.

For once, my rep Roy could actually be a key swing vote, even if for very different reasons than I would like. Everyone, please take the time to call your rep, especially if you are in a red district. I just focused on the debt, loss of rural heathcare, and cuts for billionaires through gimmicks. 🤞

Such a great show and amazing venue. Seeing an artist you love perform up close is an awesome experience. Reminds me of seeing Brandi Carlile in a similarly intimate venue in her early days.

I already need to make a correction. While I’m still happy with the solar side, it came to my attention as overnight that a few months ago Enohase took away our ability to control part of our battery system. They had an optional feature called storm guard, where you could have it swap 1/n

+1. I went with Enphase for solar and batteries, and am very happy. I got multiple bids, and my final was about the same price as Tesla for a much better system.

to full backup mode in the event of really bad storms, in case you lost power. It was ok, but I disabled it because they repeatedly declared cold weather as a really bad storm. I discovered they now ignore our setting and force our battery to charge from grid when they decide to.

Not only is it inefficient, and usually completely unnecessary, but if you plan your usage around peak rates, they might cost you huge $$$ charging at peak rates. There is no way to disable their access without crippling the system. So, stick with the solar, but consider other battery options.

Anyone else have a really bad track record with AA in PHL? This is looking to be my 2nd overnight stranding in as many trips through here. I mean, I’m happy to keep taking AA’s money (600 euro for flights originating in EU), but it’s really not awesome to get stuck overnight on the way home.

Most frustrating is they waited until we were due to start boarding to tell us the plane was not even landed. So they knew there was at least a 30 minute delay and intentionally withheld that info, preventing us from finding alternate flights.

One can hope the Democrats are at least building a book of lemonade recipes for all of these lemons. If a bunch of buildings are sold off, buy/lease new ones in/near/with easy access for under-privileged communities.

Let companies know now that rolled back standards will come back with a look back and no grace period so it’s very expensive to abandon them. For example, car emission standards can come back with a policy that the 4 or 8 year average emissions must be below xyz.

And alongside every one, publish the details of the true costs, direct and indirect, so people understand the destruction left behind. How many billions from bailing on and then rebuilding offices cost us taxpayers?!? It’s not a ‘solution’, but it’s a necessary strategy imo.

If courts uphold any of Doge’s access, bring in anti-corruption experts on day 1 and give them access to government contracts and tax returns for corrupt politicians and oligarchs. And publish the info to social media about specific organizations.

Checking in at airport lounge before first leg that routes through MSY: Agent: you must be going to the big game! Me: Huh? What game? Agent: the superbowl Me: when is that? And where? Leave it to me to book a connection through the superbowl host city the Friday before and not realize.

Enjoying a few minutes in an SFO lounge after a busy week in Palo Alto. Second week on the new job, and I loved spending a lot of time with the whole team. It’s great to be [back] in the startup world. The energy is definitely something unique compared to BigCo.

I’m a bit jealous of my new shoes arriving soon. They are apparently world travelers already. I’ve been tracking the shipment and it’s gone from Vietnam to China, then South Korea, with a stop in Alaska and Memphis, none of which I’ve been to. Hopefully they turned out great!

I saw this ‘news’ headline in my stock app today and couldn’t help but think, I could swap ‘analyst’ with ‘roulette player’ and whatever is in the article probably still works.

Funny coming to a pub in Dublin and the musician played back to back songs invoking Winslow and Tucson Arizona. Pretty confident I’m the only one in the place who has been to both.

Returning from a great week at #AllThingsOpen, an internal company conference, and even a lovely evening with folks from University of Limerick, I am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed. However, I’m worried it might be difficult to carry this high into what I am sure will be a rough week.
