A modest proposal: CEOs and members of Boards of Directors should be personally liable for any acts committed by AI agents. Up to and including murder if the AI targets people for those kinetic measures we keep hearing about...

Lawprofblawg@lawprofblawg.bsky.social

Sounds like there should be a criminal investigation of who allowed Claude to do that. www.axios.com/2026/10/25/a...

I feel like there’s a segment of the population who got all their views about kids’ sports from the Rodney Dangerfield movie “Ladybugs”, but ignore the message of just about every AI movie ever made.

Folks: Vote. Vote early. It’s a great feeling to have your vote in and counted for the midterms. Related: The GOP should not be near the levers of power.

We don’t need a strong “bullies, sadists, grifters, and dullards” party, and that’s the GOP’s whole platform.

A.R. Moxon@juliusgoat.bsky.social

Hard not to notice that Democrats who are doing the best are the ones who are leaving this whole civility-and-norms, we-go-high, we-need-a-strong-Republican-Party bullshit behind and are simply giving Republicans exactly what they all ought to get at all times, which is undisguised contempt.

The current administration is full of bullies and sadists, in control of the most powerful country on earth, lessening it with every act of cruelty petty and profound. They should never get access to the levers of power. Vote accordingly.

This from the guy who touted the brief period of "energy independence" in his first term. This is really, really cuckoobananapants (technical term) behavior. It also makes me think he really might give Alaska back to Russia on his way out the door.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "Refiners and retailers need to start dropping their prices right now. We're getting them so much oil. And by the way, today Russia agreed to send us millions and millions of barrels of oil. And it's diesel! So thank you."

Folks, if you’re still defending this, take a deep breath, consider why, and see if your reasoning comports with the beliefs you say you keep.

🚨BREAKING: ICE vehicle RAMS through NYC protesters attempting to block it from leaving after ICE agents SHOT a man in NYC—the man’s young son was in the back seat. WE’RE LIVE ON SCENE ⬇️

I find myself this evening in the kind of bar where when you ask, “This rye here, how is it?” the bartender says, “I haven’t tried it, so the three of us (indicating him, me, and rando guy seated close to me) are going to check.” This is a good bar.

There were constant reports about Hilary Clinton saying half Trump’s supporters were “deplorables” and the other half just felt like the government wasn’t doing enough for them. Just endless takes. Trump said it was ok to take out American cities. It would be a “small price to pay”. Just pathetic.

FactPost@factpostnews.bsky.social

Trump: You wanna see trauma? I said it the other day. Let them hit a missile into San Diego or Los Angeles.

Nobody show this guy "Fail Safe", ok? This is getting really obsessive.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "Let them hit a missile into San Diego or Los Angeles on the way. You want to see a horror show? Let them hit San Diego. Let them hit Los Angeles. You want to see some bad things happen?"

I wanted to understand this a bit better, to see what the "price to pay" was. Turns out, he was alluding to high current prices being a small price to pay for keeping the world safe (I think, he wasn't being too articulate), then shifts into Iran destroying American cities as a small price to pay.

This post is unavailable.

This is, of course, psychotic. In his mind, he's trading a major US city and all the American citizens therein to Iran, I guess, to do what? I think it's long past time we actually held this man legally accountable for his words and deeds.

If you thought the days of humanity and decency were long past, here's a little light in the darkness.

Sliwa getting a flu shot: This could be very embarrassing. I’m supposed to be a tough guy, right? Mamdani: I can hold your hand. Sliwa: What happens if I faint? Mamdani: I got you. Doctor: You’re in great hands, literally. New Yorkers can find free flu shots and locations at nyc.gov/healthmap

I heard Waylon Jennings' "Luckenbach Texas" about 20 million times in the car when driving around with my parents growing up. It may have been the first song I memorized from listening to the radio. This is a nice tribute to the town behind the song.

Look, he said he wasn't going to knock down the East Wing of the WH, said the war in Iran was won, said the economy was the best it's ever been like... today... maybe it's past time to report that the current POTUS is a lying POS who thinks his life is an AI slop video.

The Washington Post@washingtonpost.com

Trump administration officials said that they were unaware of specific plans to convert President Trump’s planned triumphal arch into a military complex, more than a week after Trump announced plans to put snipers, drones and ammunition at the site.

We should really think about taxing political contributions on a sliding scale up to 99.9999% or so. Maybe more. Also, criminal trials for bribery and fraud.

During a war. Interesting.

Breaking news: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is expected to announce deeper cuts to the military’s top ranks, reducing the total number of positions for general and flag officers by as much as 20 percent, officials told The Post.

This is the way. Be anti-bullying. That’s what these multi-pronged assaults on trans people are: bullying.

VoteHub@votehub.com

“This impending AI apocalypse…” “Let me stop you right there… it’s an impending SI apocalypse!”

ED HENRY: This AI race-- SEBASTIAN GORKA: No no no no no no no. Sorry. It's SI. As of this week, it's Super Intelligence. ED HENRY: Thank you for the clarification from the White House

There’s been some discourse around tearing down the ballroom after this egomaniac is out of the WH. Maybe it just falls down on its own.

Bill Kuchman@billkuchman.bsky.social

“I am the code,” Trump said of building codes in response to concerns that a “preliminary [ballroom] design that did not provide adequate emergency exit routes or fire-containment measures.” www.washingtonpost.com/investigatio...

I’m not saying this is the administration’s stupidest policy, but… no, never mind, for sheer stupidity, it’s on top.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Dr Oz says the Trump administration will kick more than a million people off health insurance because some of them have "never filed a claim"

This administration has an unhealthy obsession with genitalia and its functioning for the US Armed Forces. It's weird, unsettling, and pretty sick. Also stupid, but that's par for the course for this administration.

MeidasTouch@meidastouch.com

NEWS: The Pentagon has announced mandatory low-testosterone screenings for male troops 30 and older, including screening for symptoms such as “reduced libido, loss of spontaneous morning erections, erectile dysfunction,” and other symptoms.

This is another piece of evidence supporting my theory that Trump hates America so much for not re-electing him in 2020 that he is quite literally trying to hobble it, steal as much as possible from it, and leave a shambles that will take years to repair.

Brandon Friedman@brandonfriedman.bsky.social

When he speaks for the U.S., he's generally not talking about the government. He's saying he will prohibit U.S. businesses from exporting American products, while preventing Americans from buying European products. This isn't a slap at the EU. It's an attack on American businesses and consumers.

We didn’t have to live in a world like this. I just want everyone to remember that the next time we vote for this country’s leadership.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

PATEL: The previous regulation automatically disqualified any individual who participated in either side of it KENNEDY: Either side of beastiality? So you disqualified the animal? P: Well, we have great canines, but we're not going to disqualify them K: I'm trying to understand why you did this.

The FBI Director stating he ignores Open Source Intelligence should be quite concerning to anyone who cares about national security.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Kash Patel tells Blumenthal he's "unaware" of ProPublica's bombshell report that a Russian oligarch who is close to Putin bankrolled Don Jr's wedding and says, "public reporting is generally is inaccurate ... I don't track public reporting"

It is BS. It is also some "Those Who Walk Away from Omelas" sacrifice of trans kids (and adults) for something far from the promised utopia of Omelas in the story. It's a way to hurt kids and adults who are just trying to live their lives.

Abdul El-Sayed@abdulelsayed.bsky.social

We're being told that if we sacrifice the rights of some people, then the rest of us get to keep our rights. We all know that's some BS.

There is a case to be made that this is the most stupid thing DJT has ever posted. I mean, it's a tight race, but this is really out there...

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump: "The only control or 'guardrails' that AI needs is a STRONG AND SMART (High IQ!) PRESIDENT, and the U.S.A. has that, in spades!"

The GOP never, ever walks away from Omelas, even though it's hardly a utopia. They* actually like bullying and torture. * The current administration, the party as a whole, and anyone who votes for them, to be clear.

Let’s face it: Not only is this guy delusional, he has some weird-ass delusions.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump claims he was basically lifted out of the rubble on 9/11: "Two fireman, big strong guys, they grabbed me under the arms -- 'got to get our of here!' -- and they literally lifted me up, and they started running with me."

Maybe it’s not “The Emperor’s New Clothes”, it’s “The Emperor’s Same Old Information Bubble”.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump posts AI slop with the caption, “Kharg Island being blown to smithereens!!!”

We can clearly see, from all his actions, that Donald Trump hates America and Americans. Probably because he lost the 2020 election, and that has left him bent on "revenge" for having his reign interrupted.

CalMatters@calmatters.org

Trump cuts to college outreach programs hurt rural California students Students lost campus tours and college application help when the U.S. Department of Education canceled over $40 million in TRIO funding.

I… look, this guy should never have been near the levers of power and he’s doing real harm to the US that it will take a lot of time to fix.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump says he might change the names of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans next

Nah. He might be slightly more credible than you, but you’re setting the bar really low.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Q: Why not just put Trump's name on the building in two years after the renovation is done? Isn't that usually how it works? LUTNICK: Actually, that's not usually how it works. When you have the greatest philanthropist, you just need him to agree. He is the most credible person in the world.

It’s maybe past time to be discussing how the current POTUS is a racist, addled, cruel, belligerent misanthrope who hates America.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Holy shit — the purpose of this Trump event is to announce that he’s changing the name of Lake Ontario to “Lake America.” It will be interesting to see which if any institutions and companies go along with this

As a US citizen, I would feel much better if the current administration weren’t LARPing reality.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Sean Duffy on Canada: "It's a country that doesn't have a military ... they have record high euthanasia rates. And so to think that they're gonna go to war with Donald Trump and actually win that war with the US, I think it's foolish on their part."

What, and I cannot stress this enough, the fuck?

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Blanche on Trump's ballroom: "We are extraordinarily appreciative of the chief justice ... there has been a need for a safe space for decades on the White House grounds"

Ossoff implies Trump is following around a young woman like a delusional, sweaty puppy dog and they think she’s the target? Hilarious.

Matt Royer 🤘🏼@mattroyer.bsky.social

Looks like the WH put out the bat signal in the influencer groupchat because hit dogs are hollerin'. Ossoff's "travel with Natalie" is causing a nuclear-level MAGA meltdown and a lot of inference is happening from just 3 words, so Trump's camp seems to be telling on him. Yikes.

I'm not sure which is more unhinged: a military complex/ballroom, or soliciting and apparently entertaining design advice from a guy who has been dead for over two centuries. In either case, it may be well past time to consider that the current POTUS has lost his f-ing mind.

PatriotTakes 🇺🇸@patriottakes.bsky.social

Trump posted an AI video of George Washington sharing ideas about his ballroom project

He’s not wrong. Heck, he was found guilty of 34 felonies. He avoided punishment by being re-elected to the Presidency.
