Cover proof dilemma! Matt seems more professional to me than gloss, but can reflect light to look dull. Gloss shows richer colours. I am asked what I think: I DON'T KNOW! Anyone out there have a view?

Booked already, Huzzah!

Drowning in sh1t! Friends in nearby Barnard Castle regularly report Northumbrian Water's discharge of raw sewage into the river Tees. One sent me a link to a nationwide petition aimed at polluting water companies who charge for dealing with sewage but fail to. act.38degrees.org.uk/act/water-bi...

I can't be the only one who still loves Epic Fantasy? If not... Saw the rear cover layout for the first time today. Thank you to the ever talented designer, Tabitha James, and to Jo and Cal, the brilliant 'blurbers'

Authors, editors, artists, designers and translators are all individual human creators who deserve the chance to earn a living using their skills and talents. They should neither be robbed nor replaced. Art is human and we shouldn't be forced to learn about the human condition from machines.

Very excited today as received image of completed front cover art for the debut novel. It captures that classic epic fantasy vibe perfectly and I am so, so grateful to the artist, Tabitha James, who has been valiantly working on it from her sick bed!

Because what great things to like but also because I just spat out my drink laughing at the German Fairy Tale one!

Current state of my cover artist... And yet she persists, for which I am so, so grateful. Get well soon!

Met the Clan for the first time at FantasyCon last weekend. Thanks to @britfantasysoc.bsky.social and to everyone for being so welcoming. Special thanks to @annasmithspark.bsky.social for being so welcoming and supportive of a new writer and for having a rare Dunsanian sensibility.
