they're out with the giant asparaguses and lemons in force around here. I got panicked and cornered into an "al netilat lulav" this morning while trying to cross 2nd.

My coach said D lines keep eating his running backs so I asked him how many running backs he has and he says he just goes to the portal and gets a new one afterwards so I said it sounds like he is just feeding RBs to the opposing defense and his offensive coordinator started crying

Sorry it just occurred to me that there may be people who haven’t seen clip from the Quibi show where Rachel Brosnahan plays a woman dying because of her golden prosthetic arm and I needed to fix that

You cannot kill Quibi, unlike Rachel Brosnahan’s character in the Quibi show about a woman with a golden arm

Captive’s War — malignant aliens kidnap a proteomics lab and force them to do proteomics to save the human species. Carryx really providing a role model for supporting science that the NIH could learn from.

After Trump took office last year, the US Holocaust Museum quietly removed educational material about American racism from its website and canceled a workshop on the "fragility of democracy," @iriesentner.bsky.social reports. www.politico.com/news/2026/04...

Watching figure skating for the first time in years. What’s an Euler jump? I’m going to presume it’s a jump, then another jump, then half a jump, then a sixth of a jump, then a twenty fourth of a jump

ACCP through CHEST was very early and loud with statements espousing diversity in pulmonary medicine. A bit of inside baseball but one of the biggest debates in recent years has been on moving beyond race-based algorithms in measuring pulmonary function.

This is not even opening the door to COVID, the hell of the 2020-2021 ICU, and the near overnight miracle of mRNA vaccines reducing COVID mortality in 2021. Now respiratory disease including TB worldwide seems poised to make a huge comeback solely due to this administration’s actions.

Also our field has deep roots in occupational and public health. ATS was originally the American Sanitorium Society. Thus it makes sense for us (and ID and public health) to be among the first in the administration’s line of fire.

Apart from that, inequity is felt acutely in pulmonary, perhaps as much as anywhere in medicine. We struggle with asthma in lower income communities, impacts of air pollution. Any US pulmonologist could regale you for hours of trying to find an asthma or COPD regimen that their patient can afford.
