they've apparently found "1 memory module to be faulty" and are replacing it, which.. a RAM test is going to be in the easy diagnostic gauntlet to run + they didn't find anything the last two times. so I'd believe that that's one issue they're finding NOW, but not the root cause of its crashing

pc is back in service jail and this time with a massive written log of every crash it's had for the last four months. three doublesided pages. if they can't replicate the fault theyll get the head tech involved bc it's the third time it's come in due to being unresolvedly shitty

though a quick search does tell me that WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (the usual error I got on crashes) can definitely be linked to RAM being shitty, so I'm perplexed. why has this fault not shown up before now?? even I've run RAM tests and memtest86 and all that jazz and it came up clear

my usb hub then decided to jettison itself off the desk shortly thereafter, dragging my external hard drive with it which has the backup of the entire pc on it, so that was a fun and exciting moment

i woke up wondering why jack and jill went UP a hill to fetch water bc youd have to bore a deepass well for a hilltop but when I looked it up it's like. they couldve used a dewpond, a natural spring could just be up there, and it's a nursery rhyme so it's all allegorical and silly dont think so much

and much like humpty dumpty never mentioning that he was an egg despite modern depictions, it never mentions there's a well up there. maybe that's just where they keep their stash

i physically cannot keep up with the workload there :/ it sucks to acknowledge in such a severe employment drought but i fear i prefer unemployment and all its bullshit and consequences, to That

considering doing a little how-to on making fun deathclaw designs (which is obvs applicable to altering ANY design, but they're my mainstay)

ive been taught things in such a piecemeal way that I forget half of them, and because I was solo today I couldn't even ask anyone when things went wrong or I didn't know what to do. Couldn't even message the group chat to ask bc I don't get signal in there, I'd have to leave the entire store

all of this is a bit shit but it's amplified so fucking bad when youre autistic. I spent the entire day perplexed. bewildered. baffled, even

I don't think they keep track of like.. they have a training list for the equipment and location of stuff. But they don't have a training list for things like customer interaction, fixing the barcode printer when it jams, what to do with stock to package and price reduce, how to make recipes

of all things I thought would be made fully from scratch in a supermarket bakery I did not think it would be the tiny little tiramisu cups. including cream, mascarpone and boiling sugar syrup and separating 42 gotdamn eggs

(Vanilla sponge, mango pulp jelly, white chocolate mango mousse made with coconut cream, and a mirror glaze with edible glitter. mostly lactose free! the decorations are made with fondant and hand painted)

actually feeling less stressed about the work stuff and more stressed about how I'm going to manage the time and life balance around it. bc I won't have time or energy to make lunch or have decent evening food by the fourth or fifth day in a row :(

ive been offered Full Time Job(TM) once I'm done with classes wooo workmaxxing employmentpilled (i still have not had a recognized job since 2012) (my doctor is booked out until late october so I can't get sleep aid for another month)

I got slammed so hard with intermittent insomnia that I couldn't get to sleep until past 3am (when I had to wake up at 5), so I had to cancel on work experience which sucks bc I have a quota of hours to meet in a limited timeframe ;-;

took a full dose of melatonin (usually halved) and it was like scattering dust into the wind. nothing happened. I was neither awake nor tired, and I just... lay there. no screen, no nothing, just lying there and trying to sleep for HOURS

at least my doctor will prescribe me something for similar instances bc insomnia is recognized by the government and nz loves its sleep drugs. im just mad that i did everything right and my brain still decided No

under-rested bc even with a full dose of melatonin (usually halve it) there is apparently no force strong enough to make me go to sleep at 8.30pm

NOT helped by the fact that since I'm not logged on their system (since I'm a work placement student), I'm thus not scheduled for mandated breaks. so I didn't actually get told to go on one for six hours 🙃 gonna ask what I'm afforded tomorrow and just Take them

had to buy new work shoes only to discover someone had put their rankass old shoes in the box and walked out with the new ones. ...and then again. and a third time. which sucks bc they did that with the shoe size I need :/

figuring out that if i sleep in my girlfriend's bed the closet door has to be shut or I will hallucinate in the middle of the night and just straight up say things or get out of bed about it. the other night I thought there was a noble lady made out of sugar trapped in there, poking her fingers out

the closet isn't foolproof since another instance I woke gf up by asking if we were going to do anything about the mushy hot food at the foot of the bed and NOT to move or she'll knock it onto the floor. she just went "what??" and went back to sleep, which is correct

sadly this attempt failed as I thought she was handing me a fishing lure which was her own hair, and when she wouldn't relinquish it (it was attached to her head) I ended up smacking her repeatedly on the face like a displeased cat. she doesn't remember this

ppl from yesterday's assessment group didn't clean the stand mixers or food processors properly so we got!!! ants!!!! and they were IN my machine to the point where even after I got most of them they were STILL creeping out of the machinery. I had ant dough. ant meringue. ant macarons. croiss ants

nothing like whipping hot syrup and egg white and seeing a tiny fleck of black whirling around in there with it after it crawled onto the attachment bit and fell in. or bits of ant body segments when you roll out otherwise perfect laminated dough. really puts things in perspective

Closing out with Resplendent! One of the most ostentatious show-deathclaws in the running, this gilded beauty was eventually banned from competing when it let out a cry so loud it ruptured the judges' eardrums. Its owner, a ghoul, claimed the radiation emitting from its spread frill was harmless.

Slither! While the deathclaw is originally genetically engineered, occasionally one of its constituent species will become dominant during development. Powerful coils and powerful venom make this specimen a frightening - and incredibly fast - adversary.

Lepidoptera! Just. a bunch of moths A scale mutation resulting in wafer-thin winglike structures over its upper body, this deathclaw moves with the sound of gently rustling leaves. Its preference for blood often puts it in competition with some of the larger wasteland insects.

Trawler! she touch u With an overdeveloped second pair of arms to get itself about, its withered legs are barely a hindrance. Even so, water is its preferred environment. It floats, trailing its spindly claws through the muck and snatching anything that touches them.

Gargoyle, with color! Deathclaws that roam cityscapes are still vulnerable to the twisted, rusted metal beams that support their hunting grounds. A slip or stumble can be fatal, and victims of the resulting tetanus will eventually become fully paralyzed, a figurehead in death.

Badlands is here! Constant sand and wind often results in higher scale growth, at the cost of keratin and other materials for maintaining integrity. While arid-region deathclaws often have shattered horns or spikes, sometimes this aids in blending them in with their rocky surroundings perfectly.

oh my god we get to make a novelty cake in october/november and i INSTANTLY know what mine is going to be. I promised to make it long before the course even started

it's honestly funnier to keep it a secret in multiple senses bc my classmates don't know I'm a professional artist, even if I'm not a professional baker or sculptor, so it's going to blow their tits clean off that 1) I'm able to visualize and make some cool shit, 2) that I'm wasting it on THIS IDEA

Carousel! Due to increased raider presence in the derelict Nuka World, there is also an increase in fairground-based traps that spring on local wildlife. A particularly lucky individual might evade perforation of major organs, with coincidentally whimsical results.
