As someone that has relied heavily on black ink lines to delineate the edges of their illustrations, trying to learn how to not do that has been challenging beyond belief. I'm trying to paint more than draw for the state and province dino illustrations, and the urge to outline everything is strong.

The book is real and it’s finally out!! Extinction Coast is a collection of my dinosaur art and stories of the changed world they inhabit. I’m super proud of it and so stoked it finally really exists

When you're trying to figure out the position of the legs, you end up with some happy stomps. Some decisions are real hard.

Sorry this isn't another Etch A Sketch doodle, you people really liked that. I'm still plugging away at the State/Provincial dinosaurs/fossils. The plan is to also release stickers and well as 8x10 prints of each of the illustrations without the state border.

It's been awhile since I've had to write anything like an artist statement, which I'm quite happy about, but I've been tasked with writing a two sentence bio and I've been staring at a muddle of words most of the day and I'm on the verge of an existential crisis. Mondays, am I right?
