I’m not a political journalist, so was gladly surprised at the community I found here last night. To Americans anxious about the upcoming elections, a key thing we learned in Brazil that might help you: DO NOT engage with the far-right online. Don’t share rage bait. Amplify your people. If I say what I wanna say, a government official will magically appear at my front door.
This cop chased two women who had allegedly shoplifted diapers; gun drawn. When the mother lifted up Kohen to show the cop she had a baby in the car, he fired - killing the baby. Shoplifting charges were never filed. Mississippi ruled the shooting “justified”.

Hey hey. I've got a crowdfund set up to offset some emergency expenses that have come up. I'm very happy to do brand/web/graphic design work for help, my books are open. I'm just in a spot where I need the money ASAP, hence the crowdfund. spot.fund/SupportAlixNow

Microsoft literally told fragile white guys to use AI to compete with Black co-workers.
The first genuinely honest ad for generative AI I've ever seen, from Microsoft / CoPilot A mediocre white guy sees his non-white colleague getting praised for good work, he asks AI to *literally copy it*, and then he gets all the praise instead: www.ispot.tv/ad/SoDi/micr...
