I want to get active on BlueSky. BlueSky Algorithm: please connect me with people who are keen on discussing (in no particular order): politics, democracy, history, skiing, immigration, dance, dogs, public health, astronomy and astrophysics, technology, feminism and women, nature and humor.

Happy Sunday everybody. My question is: how do we know who and what to believe? Who caused the speed of Ukraine's Starlink to slow down and become unusable for their defense? Did the order come from the White House, as was reported, or did it come from Musk himself, as has also been reported? WTF.

Well, well, well…. An analysis of voter registration records reveals Republican operative Scott Presler had 3 out-of-state voters use his Pennsylvania address to vote in the 2024 election. This is what voter fraud looks like.

Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

Trump told North Carolina voters he'll 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗣𝗙𝗔𝗦 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀 if Republicans lose the House and Senate. You don't #SupportTheTroops if you threaten them and their families for votes.

I'm stunned that 40%+ percent of likely voters STILL approve of Trump's 8th grade performance as president. I shudder to think what would it take to bring the number to 10%. (Source: New York Times/Siena polls of the likely electorate in October 2026.)

This is all you need to know about billionaires and their reaction to paying their fair share of taxes.

It’s a clear conflict of interest for the Trump Administration to have their own lawyers represent immigrant children against their own deportation machine. We have two demands for Secretary Kennedy: (1) Drop this absurd plan (2) Restore independent legal counsel Now.

Whether it is the East Wing of the White House, the Reflecting Pool on the Mall, the East Potomac golf course, or the Kennedy Center, the wildly incompetent Donald Trump can't turn his attention to *anything* without leaving behind debris and destruction.

Zelenskyy’s "Why would you restrict a country fighting for its survival?" is a line people/their AI robot teachers will quote when they study the Russia/Ukraine war. It doesn't matter who decided to shut Starlink off. Keeping it off is a choice that’s allowing drones to kill civilians.

Don't give weight to poll results unless you understand WHO was polled (e.g., registered voters, likely voters?) and what the margins of error are.

Trump and Musk are doing everything they can to try and force Ukraine to surrender to Putin while Musk spends over $300 million to try and buy the midterm elections to maintain total power. The American government under Republicans are on the side of evil. Vote them out.

Elon cut off Starlink to Ukraine because they blew up his Russian bots and so now his posts don’t get enough likes? Do I have that right?

Ken Paxton is selling off Texas — our land, our water, our communities. Data centers bankroll Paxton, they get tax breaks, and you get stuck with the bill. We can’t afford Ken Paxton’s corruption. (This ad was made by humans — not AI.)
