Things I've learned since Trump: 1) The USG can cause people to be imprisoned for life on just their say so, ignoring the Constitution (4th, 5th, 6th, 8th) 2) Green card holders and other legal residents have no 1A rights. The 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th and 8th amendments don't exist anymore.

A real D+10 swing brings several senate seats into play Maine and North Carolina of course, but also Iowa, Texas, Montana, S. Carolina, Alaska, Mississippi, Louisiana. Long way to go to 2026

Trump actually announces something that makes sense. Of course, Canada did it first, but stopping the production of the penny is a reasonable thing.

I heard that as many as 28 people were affiliated in some way with US Figure Skating (coach, athlete, parent) on the flight.

SCOTUS ruled that only Congress could enforce 14th Section 3 to prevent Trump from running in 2024 - and Congress did not. Who enforces the 22nd Amendment and what prevents Trump from running in 2028.

I never thought anyone would ever break Gretzky's goal record (894 career goals) - but Ovechkin has 13 already this year in 17 games and needs 29 more to pass him, and now it seems a certainty. (points record is safe for eternity)

Despite gerrymandering which both parties do, the Cook Political Report National House vote tracker has the GOP at 50.94% which is 221 seats. They might fall short of that at 220 but their percentage will likely drop slightly -https://www.cookpolitical.com/vote-tracker/2024/house

The GOP could end up with 220 seats and then take 2 to fill positions in the executive branch, leaving a 1 seat majority, including 2 members who voted to impeach Trump the second time. That should be interesting...

I have to admit my math is a bit off here, 220-215, then take away 2 is 218-215. However, reports are DJT might tag another member for Labor - so it might be 217-215 with 2 members who voted to impeach Trump (until the special elections happen anyway)

Combined with Whitesides almost certainly winning CA27, Tran possibly winning CA45 and Gray possibly winning CA13, would lower the GOP representation from California into single digits: only 9 seats out of 52. Lots of votes left to count as today is the deadline for receiving ballots

You are up to date.
